Re: Cap Plan Questions

Hi all, We are looking at signing up with Exetel's mobile plans, mainly the capped plans. I have two main questions so far... 1. If a family member signs up is there a way to add the adsl discount of their cap plan to our account? 2. If I phone a Optus mobile is it included in the Exetel to Exetel*...

Re: loosing the plot.......what to do

I can't speak officially of course, but I suspect After Jan31, OCV options will disappear.

However, the OF and OT plans would most likely still be around in March/April. If I were you, I would base my decisions around the value of the OF* plans.

Re: OCV10, OCV200

Can I change between OCV200 and OCV10 without penalty if I change my mind? Interesting question - my guess is not, since these OCV plans are advertised as being a special offer for naked users until Jan 31. So from Feb 1, I would guess OCV plans will not show up in your members area as a "Change Se...

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued

Is a $50 plan still being considered? ForumAdmin: Yes - it should be on the user facilities by the end of today. Is the $50 plan OCV10 only ? or will there be an OF10 made available? I have a relative who is a very low user and who needs to change from her current expensive Optus/Exetel inclusive p...

Yes, I have one but was too lazy to use it! It was only for a one-off experiment anyway. My Exetel HSPA SIM will be staying in my iPad for a while, I imagine.

Re: Using SIM with iPAD and Netbook USB Dongle

Hi, So there putting the SIM in the iPAD will not write anything on the SIM or won't reconfigure some profile or whatever on the SIm to prevcent it from being used in the USB dongle plugged into the Netbook once more? Regards Keith Correct. I cut my Exetel HSPA SIM down to microSIM size and it work...

It's been slightly delayed while we re-work the application form.
No problem, is it better to wait or to apply now with an email to provisioning?
Worried the plan will disappear before you get to apply??? [/toungeincheeck]

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued

Some small changes have been made to the new plans that increase some plan's download allowances and reduce some plan's costs....as well as adding an ADSL1 8000 payu plan. Also ADSL2 OT plans with free telephone calls have been added. The split out of the Optus plans with free calls into OF is a go...

Re: Cap plans cannot be Capped.

Fully agree - and this is directed at Telcos (not resellers!). When you play with "their" money [prepaid], they will cut you off their services almost the second your credit is expired. When you play with "your" money [post paid], they are happy you let you rack up $15,000 bills and claim their syst...

Re: Cap plans cannot be Capped.

This is unfortunately the way of the Australian mobile industry, and is not specific to Exetel. Even the notification services provided by others for CAP plans do not work too well (delays between actual phone usage and when the various usage systems record it often mean it is too late for the user ...

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued

Affinity, thanks for the clarification. I only just signed up for the CAP19 at xmas and have already paid the $20 sim fee, so I may as well stick with it and take the OCV200 plan on it's own. Bit annoying as I could have saved myself $20 if I'd known the new plans were coming just over a week later...

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued

Thanks again. If I bundle mobile cap plan with this, will the mobile plan be in 12-month contract too? On its own, mobile cap plans are no-contract plans. If you bundle (eg OCV200/19), it will be in 12 month contract for effectively $10/month, but the SIM fee ($20) is waived. If you take up a CAP19...
