Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued

Hi, Just another vote for a lower priced/lower download limit OCV plan. I am currently on an ONA plan, and do not often hit my 10GB peak limit, and barely use off-peak. I'd love to have a POTS landline and the unlimited calls, but it is hard to justify the increase from $43 to $60 when I don't need...

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued

Is there any minimum usage requirements for the phone component on the OCV200 plan? Does anyone care if we ever plug in a POTS handset (not sure we have one anymore)? The reason I ask is I am struggling to see the financial benefit to Optus by offering the free reconnection to the POTS system with ...

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued

your current VoIP number as your new PSTN number. So can i or can't i??????? If you ported your original PSTN number to your Exetel VOIP service, then you can port it back out again and use it for the new PSTN service with the OCV200 plan. If you did not, then you cannot. It seems to me that Sean34...

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued

I am guessing this is what is required: 1. Complete application online (no option to port VoIP number back to PSTN here). 2. Immediately send an email requesting the port to residentialsupport@exetel.com.au with the FNN of the service. Is that right? Also: A. When does the 5-10 days start? B. How d...

Re: Changing between the new optus cap plans...

Hi all This a question re acquiring the ADSL1/ mobile bundle (and may be in the wrong place) I do not use a mobile phone, however my wife uses one frequently. Is there a way that I can make use of one of the "new" T PAYU plans bundled with the mobile cap 19. For her to keep her number, is it possib...

Re: Call Forwarding - not working

New screen pops up showing greyed out boxes, and mobile number in grey. There is no button on this page (ie no confirm etc). When i go back to check, this change hasn't taken place. Is there an error here? +1 - same happens to me. Sometimes, when I go back to check the change has taken place, somet...

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued

FAQ Q13 does not apply in this case because I did not port my old PSTN number to VoIP as I mentioned before when I first joined Extel this feature was not available to me. It was only introduced sometime after. FAQ Q13 is precisely related to your situation - ie you did not port your original PSTN ...

Re: OT100 and OTCC Cost Confusion

OT100 now includes unlimited free local/national phones, and unlimited free calls to Optus mobiles.
You'd have to decide if that was worth the $17 difference for you.

gstark wrote:When I look at my services page, all I see are options with 12 month contracts.
And if it's not OCV but OT plans you see, you can just click on the "Order"/"Apply" button, and in the application form you are given the option for $40 no contract or $0 for contract.

Re: Forward VoIP calls to PSTN number

Yeah - 10 cents per phone call I get is not something I want to pay for so I suppose I would have to buy a new ATA to manage both PSTN and VoIP. Bugger. Thanks. If you are at all unsure whether it would incur the 10 cent charge I would like it confirmed. I asked this question a while ago when the p...

Re: Forward VoIP calls to PSTN number

Hi, OK - I try again - 3rd time I ask this question, no response. Please can I have a response? Can I set up a call forward on my VoIP number back to my PSTN number, will this cost me money for each call, and if the PSTN line does not pick up can the VoIP answering service forward me messages via e...

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued

The three higher end OT plans (OT60, OT100 and OT200) now have free local, national and calls to Optus mobile numbers included in the monthly cost. And the OCV plans are now removed, I guess to clarify that they are only available for current Naked users to switch to. I had been trying to get my pa...

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued

Any chance I can get an answer on this one? What is the manual process required to port my VOIP (Old PSTN) back to PSTN on the new plan? Regards, Beau - It's nothing you have to do in particular apart from letting Exetel taking care of it.I say its manual because there are no automatic backend proc...

Re: Clarify differences between CAPxx and WP/WBP plans

I guess the CAPxx plans are designed primarily as a voice/mobile service, with data alowance to cater for smartphone usage, and perhaps tethering in an emergency. But as a permanent wireless broadband option, the CAP plans would be the wrong choice. If you use your mobile as a VoIP device or as a re...
