Re: how do I call forward my home VOIP number to my mobile phone

Mistake 2: Mandella said that I need to "de-register" my voip "ie turn the ata off, remove username and password or close the softphone". I've corrected my first mistake, but I don't actually know how to deal with the second mistake. I don't know what "ata" is or where to go to remove my username a...

Re: how do I call forward my home VOIP number to my mobile phone

I just discovered when setting the ata to "forward when busy" and the forwarding number is entered into the ata and into the web admin it behaves as if "forward when no answer" and the call is forwarded after about 10 rings. This is the only config how I get call forward to work. Entering the forwar...

Re: how do I call forward my home VOIP number to my mobile phone

I understand that you need to de-register your voip, ie. turn the ata off, remove username and password or close the softphone if you are using one. My call forward isn't working either and I'd appreciate íf you could let us know whether this recommendation made it work. Interestingly, I don't have ...

Buderim down?

It has just kicked in again @ 13.45 I wonder whether the Buderim (Sunshine Coast) exchange is down? An upgrade was advised for last week but looks like it hasn't happened. Maybe it's being done today? Modem is connected, see stats below. Voip is working and email was working earlier in the day but ...

Re: Call forward and Helpdesk problems

OK, I did some testing and replicated the issue. I can see this was also identified to our voip engineers on 05/12, but the testing they did on the 07/12 seemed to have ignored that. I've escalated it again with clear emphasis on the issue being 'on calls originating outside the Exetel network to y...

Re: Call forward and Helpdesk problems

Our developers tested call forwarding for your number on 7th December, the call diverted to your mobile correctly. The ticket in helpdesk is resolved when we send a reply to you to ensure clear workflow, however follow up occurs when we set the ticket in progress (i.e. hand off to another queue, et...

Call forward and Helpdesk problems

I have a problem with call forward on my voip account. A helpdesk ticket (number 1744866) was first lodged beginning of October. Beginning of November call forward worked for the first time but when needed some time later it wasn't working anymore and hasn't since. I have re-opened the ticket over a...

Worried about being booted

On Whirlpool I'm reading a lot about being booted by Exetel when the contract expires. A consideration appearently is the time spent on support I get worried about this, mainly because I had my pstn number ported to Exetel and I believe I can't take it with me. There have been two issues, both unres...

Re: NONPHONE A Plan, poor speeds during peak

Helpdesk just has to go through their routines. I went through the whole routine but finally Exetel admitted that the exchange was congested. An upgrade by their suppliers is now scheduled for next month. If you publish your exchange you might get speed results from other subscribers for comparison....

Re: Ported Number Vs Voip Number quality

Hi gambit, I'm having a similar issue. Just signed up for naked ADSL2 in Oct 09 and got a NB9WMAXX, used the temporary VoIP number with no problem. Now the old telstra PSTN has been ported across and the call quality is terrible for people at the other end while we can hear them ok. I've tried play...

Re: voip call forwarding

Forwarding doesn't work for me either. Also followed the instructions, tried via web admin, from handset and via the ata.
Have a help ticket open for about a month and still no resolution.
May I suggest you lodge one too.
