Re: New ADSL2 Plan Parameters

I note the new Telstra plans on my account pages. Lowest cost 8134 plan (TEM) is $65/mnth. Lowest cost ADSL2 plan (OTA) is $50/mnth. (I also note 8134 TEK plan is lowest cost for new users @ $45/mnth). Does the OTA plan include the rental of the telephone line - so toal cost (ADSL and phone) is the ...

Re: Discontinuation of HSPA C3 plan... suggestion...

So I have cancelled the HSPA C3 plan. Will probably have to do the same but this is where it gets messy as the C3 is my primary Exetel login account. Couple of questions...... Did they make you pay another service activation and send you out a new SIM? Do you keep the members service login or do yo...

Re: Discontinuation of HSPA C3 plan... suggestion...

I finally rang Support.... ... and was advised the only way to do it, was to cancel the existing HSPA C3 sim and subscribe to the new plan I wanted. So I have cancelled the HSPA C3 plan. (I noted that the WI E sim terms stated that the account can be closed if it is not used for 2 consecutive months...

Re: Discontinuation of HSPA C3 plan... suggestion...

I am also considering this.

Anybody got a reply from Billing?

I lodged an email with them earlier today

The email response was "canned" and did not answer the question.

Re: Unbearably slow speed

It may be your line filter is faulty.

I suggest you do a test with your line filters and phones all disconnected.

And then install the filter and do the same test.

Re: PAYU 512k

I queried the plan change and have been advised that they were intended (i.e. not a mistake) .... and that most people would result in savings. In the case of myself and my "'family and friends" - (all low consumers) this looks to be correct - as in most cases the increase cost was insignificant and...

Re: PAYU 512k

I am in a similar position, I had a PAYU1500 plan...... and I have been advised today that I am now on another plan!

... and one without the free inclusions (voip, fax and sms)

I have not heard of this happening before. What's going on?

Re: "From" Fax Number

Any update on this?

My preferences would be to replace "from Exetel email to Fax" with:

1. My exetel fax DID
2. My email address
3. "Email to Fax"; or
4. Nothing.

The rest of the Header is OK - date, time and page number, etc....

Re: Moving house and upgrading my internet connection

If you really dont use broadband much..... then why not consider a HSPA connection instead? I was recently moving house from 1 unit to another in the same building..... and that was my answer. I dont even have a landline now - just HSPA (for web and e-mail) and a mobile (I mostly receive calls - tha...

Re: What is the cost of calling a voip number

I am a voip user residing at Newcastle NSW. Even though you are residing in Newcastle, your voip number can be based anywhere in Australia (or the world). I live in North Queensland (when I am home) and have voip numbers in each capital city in Australia - and some regional and overseas ones! Exete...

Re: Desktop Fax Application

I downloaded and installed it today. My first fax was sent to a fax-to-email provider - and it went well. Comments: The fax header shows "from IAX modem" - could the application allow the sender to design their own header?..... - or have some options?. Fax quality - will it be possible to increase p...
