Re: Invoice and Billing separation

Well, all the invoices are raised on 1st of the month, and my bank account is debited that day/overnight unless it's a weekend or public holiday, then it's next business day.

Most, if not all, email clients can check for email as often as once a minute, so I'm assuming the system you are checking emails on is not always on?

Re: Ambiguous login instructions

I've never had problems with Safari, either in Mac or Windows flavour, both here and with John Linton's blog. I have had the problems you mention with John's blog when using Internet Explorer and just put it down to IE's rather loose interpretation of standards.

Re: Random Dropouts Over The Last 2 Days.

Drop outs are generally line quality related. Was the New Farm area affected by the flooding - if so, the drop outs could be related to either damage to, or work being done on damage to, the local infrastructure. But first, we need to establish if you line is behaving itself. Can you post the modem ...

Re: Ambiguous login instructions

If I recall correctly (being in my 50's, and no doubt subject to cognitive decline /dysfunction :) ) the two step access process was brought in to allow non Exetel customers to read the forums, but not to post, and this was brought in only in the last couple of years. Before that anyone could regist...

Re: Latest software for Huawei E169 for Windows 7 or Mac OS

That's why I settled on the MyZone - it's about credit card sized, battery/usb powered. Turn it on, wait a few seconds, then I can connect with laptop, iPhone, etc, wirelessly. No need to set up any additional software on the laptop. Access to configuring the MyZone is done through a web interface, ...

Re: Ambiguous login instructions

Hmm, I have no trouble logging in at all. First log in with forum username and forum password. At this point I can navigate and read the forums. If I want to post, I get another login page, and enter my service number and service password (the same username and password that my modem uses to connect...

Re: Latest software for Huawei E169 for Windows 7 or Mac OS

Although this doesn't help your problem - the E169 I bought from Exetel awhile back for my MacBook autoloaded an Optus dmg file to set up the broadband, and I was able to enter the exetel1 APN. (Note that it autoloaded a windows exe on a windows machine.) However, I soon got caught up with the whole...

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued

How are we going with the whole "port original PSTN --> VoIP --> PSTN" change? Once that option is on the order form, I'm sure many of us will be working through order(s) -- it was expected by end of last week, any ETA now? paulp posted this morning, four posts up from yours, stating : "For those t...

Re: Changing plan delay

From the email sent out concerning the special offer to current Naked users on 30th December:

" This offer is available to apply for from today until 31st January 2011 and will become active on 1st February 2011. "

The emphasis is mine.

Re: Moved from Naked ADSL to OCV200/19 Plan

1- When I check my plan details , it still says in am on the Z/22NOTEL plan - Do I have to wait for a new billing cycle before the plan changes to OCV200/19 ? Check your "Change Plan Status" tab, it should be updated to show the change request is Pending (at least, that's what mine shows). As Jokii...

WM-C plan - port out process

This morning I ported my iPhone to Telstra, from a WM-C plan. It appears to have gone through in that the phone connects to Telstra okay, with the Telstra SIM inserted, and I can make calls, surf web, etc. However, incoming calls to my mobile number still go to the Optus network with callers getting...

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued

Hi I am keen to change to the new 'naked' plan as I am currently with the old naked plan. As noted in the 'change plan' page there is an option: A full telephony service (this includes local calls, long distance and service and equipment charges) What are the service and equipment charges? What wil...

Re: New Bundled ADSL/Wire Line/Mobile Plans

Hi, I'm fairly uncomfortable about the requirement to 'waive' the customer service guarantee when upgrading but find that transferring from this service to another naked service is impossible without getting telstra to reinstate your pstn. Which is very costly. The waiver seems to include problem r...

Re: When will OCV Naked offer expire?

The email I received as a current "Naked" plan user, with the special offer to move to the OCV plans says I have until end of January.

I'm not sure that this is what you asking, when you talk about "at current price"?
