Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued

So why isn't there the option for me to take up a renewing contract on my existing plan, which surely would put Exetel in the same situation financially? I'll probably take up the PAYU plan, but renewing on 1500X would be clearly preferable to me. I guess it would be up to the wholesaler, as they'r...

Re: Enable outgoing callerID

You'll need to select it in the member's facilities (under manage services somewhere for the wireline service), it's a free service called Caller Sending Number, or something unintuitive like that.

Re: Current residential plan page

What browser are you using?

When I first go to the page, I can see the table underneath the "Premium plans (Optus network)" without any problems.

I'm using Safari, on both Mac OS X, and on Windows XP, fwiw.

Which is what the new set of plans now available, and the price increase for old plans, are designed to do. A consolidation of plan types and charges.

Re: Naked users forgotten?

Quick question for those that have signed up for one of these.

I signed up yesterday afternoon, got the successful submission form the acknowledgement email, but if I go to the "Change Plan Status" tab in my user facilities, there is no sign of the change request.

Has anyone else seen this?

Thanks

Re: Naked users forgotten?

If you have a working PSTN line then to me it seems that it is no longer a "naked" plan That's the whole point - moving current users away from Naked plans. Line rental is included in the $60 per month, as it states in the user facilities, when you look at the "Change Plan" tab. I can't answer your...

Re: Naked users forgotten?

Special Offer To Current Exetel “Naked’ Plan Users Unfortunately these new plans will cost me around $15 more a month and offer me nothing new that I need. I'm currently on ONB - $45 / month (+$3 Admin fee) with 5 GB / "Unlimited" Naked. I don't need more than 5 GB peak. And I have VOIP with anothe...

Re: Naked users forgotten?

ADSL2+ service. Cool I'm not sure why you would think that ADSL2 would be faster than a naked service? ADSL2+ speeds are independent of whether you have a naked or provisioned PSTN line. Well from someone who has no idea about whether it is or not, it seems strange that no one has raised the speed ...

Re: Naked users forgotten?

Is this an adsl or adsl2 service???? ADSL2+ service. I assume adsl2 would be generally faster than a naked service to th same address, but not so sure about an adsl I'm not sure why you would think that ADSL2 would be faster than a naked service? Re: Naked users forgotten?

If your PSTN number (your line number issued by the telco) is different to your voip number, does it mean you will have two active numbers? One making calls through your modem. Two making calls through your now active phone line. If you reactivate your line, will you be issued with a new PSTN number...

Re: HSPA service increasingly unreliable

I have both a data/mobile service, and a data only service, and can't say that I see any issues. My understanding is that these plans (WI-A for data only, and WM-A for data/voice) are connected at Layer 2, rather than Layer 3 (which I believe the 'resold' Optus CAP plans are connected to), so there ...

Re: Naked users forgotten?

Well, I've just put my change request in to the OCV200 plan. Suits my usage perfectly - 200GB usage at any time, and $1 per GB excess. The free local and national calls on the PSTN lines are a bonus, even though I tend to use my VoIP accounts via a SIP client on my iPhone. Happy enough with my curre...

I use a Netcomm MyZone with an Exetel HSPA service, with extremely good results.
