On this page: http://www.exetel.com.au/a_payment.php In the section on "Moving between plans", the following paragraph seems to contradict itself, regarding when a speed change takes effect: "Any change you make will not come in to effect, in terms of line speed (up or down, depending on your chosen...

Re: ADSL2 availability in my area

Hi I'm trying to ascertain whether exetel is providing ADSL2 service to the Terrigal NSW exchange. If it is, is it Optus or Powertel? If it is not, when would it be available, and would it be Optus or Powertel (or is there some other possibility)? I really don't understand too much about this stuff...

Jenna,

There is already a thread dealing with the speed issues that are being addressed.

I think I might program in an immediate PSTN pass-through for 000 calls. I hope it's easy enough. When you get to enter in your dial plan: (000S0<:@gw0> will send 000 calls to the PSTN line. Ass bossbc says, there is pleny of help on whirlpool (but you got to weed out the noise), and there are plen...

Could you please outline the procedure for calling out on the PSTN line on this device? Also, how easy is it to use. The user manual does not look user-friendly, and from what I've seen lots of geekiness can be tweaked into it. Well, I've got it set up so that if I dial a # first, the call goes out...

I use an SPA3000 and it does have PSTN passthrough - works very will indeed.

I originally got it as a locked box on engin, but have since had it unlocked for improved configurability

If you check the following thread, you'll see that the uncounted period changed back to 2am to 10am effective March 1st

Re: Exetel + Supernews(or Similar) - Any Chance ??

Is there any chance Exetel would be adding to their product offering the addition of a "Premium Usenet Service" (via Supernews OR Similar) like Internode offers for FREE ?? Exetel maintain their excellent low price plans because they don't include any extras like this. If they did, I'd have no doub...

If your intention is to avoid using download allowance, then I agree with Wensu - the price of the plans, couple with the download allowances, and the uncounted period make this pretty much a waste of time. Exetel are a no frills providers, and that allows them to keep the prices low. Any addition o...

I always find it amazing that there are some people who believe that insults and swearing is the same as "voicing an opinion" about something. In terms of the email management, I think that anything that keeps costs down for Exetel, and therefore their customers, is a good thing. I understand those ...

Re: Nobody to answer the phone after business hours

Users demand 24/7 phone support. What is wrong by employing a staff member on 3 shifts ,so when a problem arises we know where the problem is. What is wrong is that 24/7 support costs money, money that they can only get by charging customers a higher monthly rate. Would you be happy to pay more, ju...

As a business owner myself, supporting other business owners, I speak on behalf of my referred business clients in saying that the reliability of service is poor. All this based on the last two weeks, or from the entire time you have been a customer of Exetel? The major outage over the last week or...
