That would be my recommendation.

This is what my meter shows so far for today, with only the modem/router switched on:

Code: Select all

20/August/2010 0.15 MB 0.75 MB 0.20 MB 1.05 MB

Re: Exetel - are you kidding me

- Mine one is a wired modem/router, so NO one is accessing my download wirelessly - what logs? - I don't remember what time it was updated. But does it matter? I first checked at 12:25pm today. - My plan does not say anything about the off-peak period - It says my peak-period is 12:00pm to 12:00 am...

Re: Exetel - are you kidding me

Did you also turn off your modem and/or router? Does your modem/router have wireless? If so, what do the logs say about systems that have connected in the last couple of days? EDIT: forgot to ask - what time does it say the usage meter was updated, and what off-peak times does your plan say you have?

Re: Diversion Costs on Optus HSPA

If you are diverting to another number, I'd say standard call rates apply - this is pretty universal for all diversions. If you are diverting to a VoIP number, that would be mobile to landline call rates.

Re: Divert On Busy / No Answer to Voicemail VOIP Broken, Fai

Hmm, my VoIP number is doing the same - it's been on divert to voicemail for ages, and I ususally get the answering message when my client isn't registered - now it's just either coming up disconnected tones, or hanging up straightaway.

Re: 1500D Plan question

I have just changed to the 1500D plan, in my members area it shows the following. What does N/A mean? And what does changing the excess download option mean? change from what? to what? N/A means you are shaped when you hit your quota (ie, there is currently no excess charge applied to your plan). C...

Re: International calls on WM-x plans?

http://www.exetel.com.au/residential-hspa-international.php I believe they are per min rates to landlines. Not sure on international mobiles? Have you considered MoIP/VoIP? much better rates. http://www.exetel.com.au/voip_pricelist.php Thanks for the link. I do use VoIP (have Counterpoint's Bria iP...

International calls on WM-x plans?

I'm looking to port my Optus iPhone number to a WM-x plan.

The national call charges are listed on the WM-x plan pages, but there is no indication of charges for calling overseas destinations. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Re: Email forwarding for domain

For several years I've had a couple of domains hosted by Bottle Direct with a fairly simple to use interface for what I suspect is DNS hosting. In particular it included the ability to redirect a number of email addresses for each domain to any email address I choose. I'm looking to transfer my dom...

Re: Name Server details

If you are talking about the free personal webspace you get with your broadband account, you can't point a domain name to it, as far as I'm aware.

You can only do this with the hosted webspace services

Thanks for the pointers folks - I'd forgotten about this thread, and didn't update it when I found out what I needed to do (using the 'screen' command and correct name for device).

Hosted domain - how long for zone file updates?

I have a domain hosted with Exetel. The only zone file entry I set up was a cname for www pointing to a hosted blog space. An hour or so ago, as I have "moved" the blog to another server, I logged into my member facilities, and removed the www cname definition, replacing it with a A record for @, po...
