Re: Ping to Adelaide same as Perth?????? (from NSW)

This would be a change on the other end of the network being internode. This could be for a number of reasons: First one being that internode no longer announce those IP's through the PIPE link, or The second one being that the "faster" route to the server is through their optus link? Either way I d...

Re: SMS Usage monitoring in WM-A

These message may take some time to appear, the reason for this is that the charge needs to be sent in from the overseas network to the australian carrier then it will need to filter down to the provider. When i went over seas it took 10 - 12 days for my messages that I sent in Singapore and Sri Lan...

Re: Verify your exetel wemail account - Fake email

I have over my years with Exetel seen many many of these come through, so yeah I would agree if you ever get one just delete them straight away.

Re: SMS from Outlook 2007

I have seen quite a few "add on's" floating around the internet for these types of systems, they are marketed through specific companies though which might mean you can only use their SMS service with them.

But I know they are out there

Re: Getting an additional Fleet SIM?

your best bet is to email voice@exetel.com.au with the request and they can advise you further on how to get another sim.

Re: free voip calls with adsl2incphone

I believe so, from memory the only plan that has a VoIP service set up by default is the naked ADSL2+, if you are an INC plan then you would need to sign up for the VoIP account.

Re: Previous Provider and Switch over

They (the old ISP) can request to find out when the codes for them came off the line, this is something that only they can do with their supplier, but it is easy enough for them to do it to confirm when you churned away from them.

Re: Can't connect to internet (used to be able to!)

Once you are connected can you let us know what IP address you are being assigned (should be a 10.x.x.x IP address)

Also have you had anything happen to your phone line, change of name, disconnection etc.

Re: Porting on powertel

it is difficult to say, having been in the industry for a while there is a chance that they could drop the port and then be rejected. But 9 times out of 10 the port remains untouched and it is just a programming change on the line.

Re: Error in service relocation confirmation email?

It should not cause any issues but to be on the safe side i suggest emailing provisioning and just having one of the staff check the application.

Re: Previous Provider and Switch over

You old provider should be notified by a report from Telstra Wholesale, but that being said it is not something that Exetel will notify them of, to be sure you should call them and let them know that you have transfered to another provider and that you would like your account with them closed.

Re: Internet blocked although payment was made!

Direct Debits can take 2 - 4 business days to clear, this could be the issue, Exetel may not have the payment clearance as yet.

Re: Connection Issues - Beacon Hill, Sydney

Exetel do not sell Telstra ADSL2 services, they use the Optus or Powertel tails for thei ADSL2+ services.

If you are still having the issues i suggest that you log a fault on 02 8030 1000 and select option 1 to log the fault.

Re: NAKED ADSL2+ SPEED ISSUE!!!

Can you post some results etc of when this is happening, speed tests (www.speedtest.net) and a few tracerts to slow sites, also the sync speeds so we can have a look.

If you have a look at the MRTG's there is a peek at midnight but drops after that so I would say do the tests at about 1 - 2 am
