New "Z" plan Pricing
Be wary of at-least the new Z8 plan pricing, it is not as cheap as it seems, you could just as easy sign up to the CAP 19, get a $10 discount on your ADSL and have no contract as an alternative and only $1.00 difference. The savings for this plan seem to be greatly exaggerated in the email sent out,...

TCV20-Region-200
We have just change to the TCV20-Region-200 plan from ADSL1 (TL-C1), when do they change the line speed, should we wait a few days or should this happen as soon as the plan was activated? Our change service status say the new plan is active, we have cycled they modem for over 1/2 hour a couple of ti...

Re: New $50 ADSL2+ Plan
Thanks for that redo. Happy days indeed :) EDIT: Just tried it - nope, doesn't work for me. Perhaps there is a different plan/price for regional customers (hence the "REGION" in the name) ?? Region 2 and 3 are $10.00 more per month. Offer will end very soon. I am unable to change to this plan it co...

Re: Changing from TE-2D to TCV20-Region-200
Is there a difference between the TCV20-200 at $50 a month offered to new users and the TCV20-REGION-200 offered for $60.00 in my members facility? Why the price difference? What infrastructure do you need to be on to get these plans as I have just recently been unsuccessful in changing to a OT30 pl...

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued
We wish to change to a A30 plan from the TL-C1, when we were checking plans last week there was no activation charge now there appears to be a $75.00 one but the agreement statement says 0.00 charge, can you please advise which it is, thank you.

Re: Price Increases For Out Of Contract Customers
You might like to consider the costs of providing a 1500/256 ADSL1 connection to a customer: Monthly port cost - a little over $30.00 12 gbps of back haul - a little over $5.50 12 gbps of IP - a little over $5.00 Support/Billing/Provisioning/Overheads - a little under $1.50 So, at the very best, Ex...

Re: Price Increases For Out Of Contract Customers
It's disappointing that Exetel are ignoring the 'light' to 'normal' use (as defined by Whirlpool). I have been with Exetel for many years, lots of ups and downs and plan changes! But, paying $40 for a 5Gb plan is not competitive at all, and looking at Whirlpool I can get much better value elsewhere...

Re: Price Increases For Out Of Contract Customers
Currently on the "old" 5Gb/unlimited $30 plan with 50c/Gb excess The nearest "new" one is the 30Gb/180Gb $45 plan with $1/Gb excess I guess I'll stay on the old plan which, even with the $10 increase, will be $60 cheaper/year. So thanks for that option! Just one question, if I did change to the new...

Re: Unable to change plan
'm getting so sick of the rapid changes. Everytime I look the deals are different and in the end as I have done before I just walk away. Fortune favours the brave, or at least, those willing to search and persevere. There are very good valued deals to be found in amongst all of Exetel's frequent ch...

Re: Unable to change plan
ForumAdmin may be along to give the full details, but I would suppose that a new set of plans about to be placed online and the Christmas week being the time of year when most staff in most businesses are on leave have a lot to do with it. As changes to plans need to be made before the end of the m...

Re: Unable to change plan
When I log in to the Member Facilities page and choose Manage Services > ADSL I can see my current plan details but if I choose the Change Service link I just get the option of applying for Useful 'Add On' Bonus Packs , I don't get any option to change my plan. I am currently on the 1500A plan and ...

Re: Price Increase Of $5.00 per Month On All Old ADSL Plans
Are the NFs considered new or old for them? Consider them to be "new" as the NF plans have all the same properties as the Z plans (no frills, no administration charge, 12-12 off-peak) whereas old plans (INCPHONE, ANYPHONE, NONPHONE, INC2DSL, PTL, NAK2) differed in their characteristics as some cont...

Re: Increase in Prices Of Some NF Plans
This is true, however, shaping is no longer offered on Exetel plans in any event. Gidget I would like to know why shaping is not offered anymore? It was good as a buffer at the end of the month when we didn't have time to keep a close eye on things, the kids would let me know because they could't a...

Bear in mind that if you do request shaping to be removed you cannot change your mind and have it turned back on later. Re: Some clarifications required Please.
1 free voip DID is available to ALL plans - ADSL, ADSL2/NakedADSL and HSPA/Wireless. Also you will still have access to fax/sms. The only difference is that there are no freebies - lower plan prices for everyone and let those using a service pay for it, rather than be subsidised by those not using ...
