Re: Becoming a Voip customer with Exetel

Does the Netcomm V210P have 2 ports? Because if I am going to keep my current phone to answer (incoming) calls and use Voip to make (outgoing) calls, I will need the ATA to have 2 ports. Right?

Re: Becoming a Voip customer with Exetel

If I'm having Voip only to make calls, will Exetel give me a new phone number in order to do this ? When making the call, I heard that I have to press the asterisk button on the handset to indicate that my outgoing call is using Voip. Is that so?

Re: Becoming a Voip customer with Exetel

Yes, taken all your considerations on board. Now what is the next step. Do I have to phone them or fill out an application or is it simply to configure the ATA using my Exetel password?

Becoming a Voip customer with Exetel

We're thinking of purchasing an ATA to use Voip on our outgoing calls and keep our current PSTN line with Telstra for all incoming calls. If we decide to do this, what must I do next to have Exetel be our Voip Service Provider? Application forms to fill in? Email or phone call? We are existing custo...

Re: New Service - Connection Issue

Thanks for help. When I entered the MAC address into the setup page, both computers didn't connect. We think the Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop, does not accept a WPA key. Only accepts WEP key and perhaps that is why it is not connecting? We would like it to accept a WPA- personal key. Has anyone else ha...

wireless security

Our internet was down. Each time we went to connect, it asked for our security password which we have forgotten. It kept saying that the password entered didn't match the one on our NB6W netcomm modem. The only way for us to use the internet was to skip this process and not to enter any password at ...

solution found to get internet working again

Thankyou Jason and Corey: You were both right. I did have to update the device - "NETGEAR USB" (WgV112). And I did this by running 'devmgmt.msc' and clicking on the device that I wanted updated. This opened the Hardware Update Wizard which I followed to completion and immediately the blue light lit ...

Re: connection after maintenance

Yes, we have the latest service pack installed. The internet is going well. But I'm not using exetel connection. It is not connected and no available networks are appearing on the screen. Usually I can see Bigpond, Optus and our own Exetel. I was thinking of switching everything off and leaving it o...

connection after maintenance

My computer returned after being away for a service. It has Windows XP re installed on it. However, the problem is how to reconnect to our wireless network. At present, we have the ethernet cable plugged in but both the Ethernet and USB lights on the netcomm modem are not on. I can use the internet ...

Finally connected

Now that we are successfully connected and under Exetel as our ISP, can you tell me if there is a way of viewing and tracking our internet usage? Are there any warning signs given when we have reached half-way ?
