Any update on this, I'm still getting below average speeds. One day I would get around 8mbps then the next day it would be around 2mbps. Upload speeds are constantly around 0.89mbps. This is an ongoing problem that seems to be solved for a short period by a port reset. Almost by the clock internet speed will drop at 5pm & be slow till about midnight then getting back to max ADSL2 speed. So they have dropped the days usage from 175GB to 88GB, remember this is in 8 hours, although the support tech was fixated on the 16 hour peak window.
