Since South Brisbane Fibre was laid and is owned by TELSTRA it seems that Exetel are being squeezed to discard their customers so that TELSTRA can pick them up before the NBN is connected. Perhaps I should rephrase: Does Exetel plan to offer IMAP for hosted mailboxes in future, or is it permanently
off the agenda?

Exetel doesn't provide IMAP services at the moment.

Once your service is terminated, unless you have selected to keep your emails or webspace these services will also be terminated. All data and emails will be deleted and no copies will be kept.
