Re: ADSL2+ speed question

The sad fact is that you are only guaranteed a download speed of 1.5Mbps if signed up with a residential adsl package. I know that this doesn't correlate with the marketing hype and there is probably something written in the fine print somewhere to confirm this. I have been thru a similar process as...

Re: VOIP service drops out when support answers

Which is why Exetel requires the public address in the contact header to reflect the standard practice. Only seems to obey standard practice requiring public IP address when call 0280301000, I have several voip numbers and I can call between them without having to resort to the changes below This i...

Re: VOIP service drops out when support answers

Thanks for explaining that, how come this is only a problem when I phone exetel support and is not an issue when I phone pstn, mobile or other exetel voip numbers via acrobits softphone via exetel sip server?

Re: VOIP service drops out when support answers

Thanks for that, essentially a one way audio problem, presumably exetel could here me. why does the problem only exist when connected to exetel support when the tech comes on. The audio from the que system is obviously coming back but it all falls over when the tech comes on. I thought that Voip serv...

Re: VOIP service drops out when support answers

OK voip number on the exetel adsl service via the gigset C470IP ends in 5554. This is the system I have used in the past over the last 6 months and the audio drops out as the que gets to exetel support. Have just tried ringing support on my android softphone (acrobits) via Telstra 3G (speedtest ping...

Re: Another porting away from exetel request for acct no.

But obviously the account numbers you provided are not the LSPR (losing service provider reference) which is what is needed to port a number in an automated system. With resellers (like exetel) it is likely to be the exetel account number plus the wholesaler's suppliers (optus) account number. Can y...

Re: Another porting away from exetel request for acct no.

Have submitted those account numbers (copied and pasted) via provider to be but these are not coming up as account numbers in the automated system they have access to. The providers to be have contacted me and said that they are usually 9-15 digit numbers and asked me to see if I can ask you guys to...

Re: ADSL data usage comparison

All good tips, exetel gave me hr by hr breakdown and yesterday from 4.00am to 4 pm there were hrly downloads of 250-300MB. strange time to start. the excess is on the download side. The upload figures correlate nicely. Maybe I should change my IP address. Is the download excess of 4GB in 2 days cons...

Re: Voicemail Full - how to delete message?

Thats the problem, never manually delete them as they are forwarded as sound file to email. But don't they self delete after 1 week according to wiki? I havent received any messages for last 3 weeks and it would appear that "sorry users mailbox cannot receive any more messages" So the only option is...
