Re: Is my new adsl2+ speed with expected range?

you would need to wait for your listings to expire. If you really want to see and aren't attached to your IP address, shutdown all torrenting and do an IP address change from your members. Reboot router and do your speed tests with your new IP address. Just gave that a go. No significant difference...

Re: Is my new adsl2+ speed with expected range?

Hmm, interesting. So if I delete all the torrents I'm seeding, then I may well see an increase in my overall speed?

Re: Is my new adsl2+ speed with expected range?

This morning I'm getting between about 5 and 5.5 Mbps. So that seems pretty good for my situation. It seems congestion in the evenings is a pretty big issue. I suspect it's your uploads saturating the connection. Not entirely sure what you mean here. My upload usage is normally quite high due to to...

Re: Is my new adsl2+ speed with expected range?

The ubuntu iso torrent is downloading at speeds between 300 and 400kbps. I'll try again in the morning when the network is less drained. I'm sure it was doing a lot better than this a couple of months ago when my adsl2 was first connected. I was getting speeds upto 700-800kbps. (probably not in the ...

Re: Is my new adsl2+ speed with expected range?

Re: Is my new adsl2+ speed with expected range?

Yes sorry, I thought i'd shut the modem down for a while and see how it went after that. I don't know if it's what you've done or I've done or something else, but my spped has dropped significantly. Speed test says: Your current bandwidth reading is: 2.93 Mbps which means you can download at 374.78 ...

Re: Is my new adsl2+ speed with expected range?

Ok, so everything seems to be as expected given my circumstances, but is there any tweaking that can be done at my end or yours to squeeze out as much performance as possible? Or is this about as good as I can get?

Thanks again

Is my new adsl2+ speed with expected range?

Hi, I recently upgraded from adsl 1500 to adsl2+ with exetel via telstra. There are no major issue with my service other than I would have expected(hoped) it to be a bit faster than what it is right now. It's certainly faster than my old adsl 1500,although not always. Perhaps my expectations aren't ...

Re: Upgraded to ADSL2 but still have ADSL1 speed

Took all day but it was finally done about 6 tonight. Doesn't seem as fast as I would have hoped, but I'll do some more testing before I worry about that. Just glad to have it done.

Re: Upgraded to ADSL2 but still have ADSL1 speed

My service has been completely down since 9am this morning. I assume so the change over can be affected. Why does it take so long? I would have thought in this day and age it wouldn't be much more than unplugging us from one service and plugging into another within the same exchange? 10mins max. Any...
