Re: Different marketing of mobile plans

Hi, I was interested to know if Exetel had ever thought about offering mobile plans that are based on the number of Minutes/SMS/Data like in the UK instead of the current way every australian telco does it? i.e. http://www.talkmobile.co.uk/simple.html I've noticed that Exetel now spell out how many...

Re: WI A - Thanks for the memories

I'm in the same boat. I've asked billing to cancel my service too. A few years ago you were GIVING AWAY these plans as part of your ADSL bundle for free and charging 1.5c/mb. Now it's $6.95 - 0 data and $56.95 for 1gb. That's a $51.95 increase on 1gb and an $86.95 increase on 2gb worth of download....

Re: WI A - Thanks for the memories

I received an email today from Exetel informing me that my wireless broadband plan WI A was changing from 1st March. Currently it’s $5/month and 1.5c/MB used. The current plan suits me fine as I only use a handful of megabytes a year and don’t mind the $60/year plus usage. From 1st March it increas...

Re: Moving house - no phone connection

Thanks James. I contacted telstra the other day to organise the phone connection. Their system however was having trouble assigning a technician to come out so they were unable to complete the transaction. They plan to have some guru who is back at work on Tues fix it for me and then expedite the p...

Re: Connectionfee: Exetel/Optus service on inactive Telstra

For a new service Exetel/Optus AZ-A plan ($60 unlimited) there is a $100 ADSL activation fee shown on the website - but what if any is the additional charge to connect this service if the existing phone line is an inactive Telstra line (the line is inactive but still connected to the exchange - cal...

Re: 4G

Is there anything people with existing 3g phone Sim plans need to do for 4g service or will it just work with 4g if available? The website still had 4g plans "coming soon", so does that imply 4g will only work if you have a specific 4g plan? Yes. This is correct. You need to go on a specific 4g pla...

Re: No Ports

I'm trying to sign up a friend on an Optus ADSL2 port. Every time I attempt this, it returns: no ports. Can someone please tell me what port it is, and if there are no ports OR that it's not an Optus exchange. PM me for the number. Thanks. Hi, I have sent a message requesting for relevant details t...

Can anyone advise the estimated delivery time for Nano Sims (assuming that stock exists)? I am planning to port across two accounts to iphone5s and trying to judge when to order the Mobile service. If I order the phone and the sims at the same time, I will be without a working phone (current ones u...

Got a piece of paper dropped in letterbox today. Silcar Communications " ... will be working to install NBN infrastructure ... " " which may involve, hauling fibre, digging or drilling, installing fibre distribution hub, and or fibre up poles." It is the latter I think I will get, the telstra is fl...

Its just so much easier to order thru the Members area as all billing info is already there, you just bill us as per normal arrangements. I have sent an email to your nominated email address with regards to ordering a new mobile plan.
