Plenty ha...

Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges

Shouldn't exetel wait on signing contracts until after the ACCC has reviewed the recent anti competitive complaint from Internode & iinet? Or will there be a clause to drop prices depending on the outcome of same? That's a very good point, but there _may_ never be a time when no action is in place ...

Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges

Can you confirm that with ADSL2 on Telstra port that uploads won't count as part of data inclusion? If so, this is finally what I have been waiting for -- a real alternative for those whom are not connected to one of the 400 odd exchanges that offer a better alternative. The other thing I would like...

Would being on a lower end plan be a reason for not being invited then?

The offer is not made to every user.
Yes I know, but is it being offered to those with Naked DSl2 or only the INC phone plans?

Can I use three's E220 modem with Exetel's network if unlocked?
Almost certainly.
Unless the modem itself is locked and needs to be network unlocked.

When a user is shaped for peak overuse, does their offpeak also get shaped?
I believe that I read the answer in this thread and the answer is no, off peak is not affected. Please read through the thread to confirm.

Re: ADSL2 Plan Changes

It seems very clear that the plan change email sent to anyone whom has an interest in plan changes (those that ticked the box), is leading to a whole lot of people being confused. The message about these changes SHOULD have clearly stated that such changes only apply to certain CURRENT plans and tho...

Re: ADSL2 Plan Changes

As much as I love the 512 shaping for downloads, there _needs_ to be an option to allow full speeds with pay for data blocks at least, if not just excess at 50c / GB.

I take it that uploads are not going to be similarly effected, please advise thanks.

Re: Huge packet loss ?

The country broadband advertising was promoting coverage up to 30km from the tower with a Yagi -- Peter has this setup and I don't think he is that far away from the tower.... There is also the fact that speeds have been good for at least some period of time and now all of a sudden they are bad; thi...

Re: Huge packet loss ?

On the lights changing on the modem, as the speed is so slow, I'm able to see what it's doing. I'm trying to load one web page (exetel post info), and there was nothing being sent/received whilst the light was on blue, then I saw the light go to cyan, and some data was sent/received, albeit not muc...
