Re: Virgin Prepaid Mobile Broadband starter kit and Exetel SIM

Reporting a success. Popped the exetel SIM card into the Virgin branded Huawei E169 and plugged it into a spare usb port. After installing the Virgin branded software I created a new profile and set the APN to exetel1. After saving the new profile, I clicked Connect and was on the Internet. Thanks ...

Re: HSPA meter acting wierd

That's how i read it :( Ahuh. But on the http://www.exetel.com.au/residential-hspa-pricing.php page it still has the different rates so we don't have a definitive answer. I've submitted a helpdesk ticket, so will see what the feedback is :) Support sent me this link http://www.exetel.com.au/residen...

Re: HSPA meter acting wierd

I have an HSPA C3 plan. I also have the orange Netusage display. I don't consider it is Netusage meter at fault, but the data from Exetel is incorrect. When I go to my Members Facility and go to https://www.exetel.com.au/hspa/home.php the graphics display says that I have 0 MB allowance for what was...

Re: Mandatory content filtering. Internet Censorship and the ISP

The whole concept of children finding inappropriate material 'by mistake' isn't really there in my opinion - how does a child search Google, or try and access a website that contains material that is inappropriate for their viewing? Many of the sites that offer 'that' material, generally want valid...

Re: exetel staff, please provide usage data/plan XML

Need2No: You could just log into the Member Facilities using your HSPA mobile number and password. This will take you to a HSPA user facilities which has a usage meter. Prior to Exetel introducing their HSPA offering, I had a Bigpond Wireless account which my daughter used. One of the Bigpond users...

Re: exetel staff, please provide usage data/plan XML

Here is the HSPA XML Usage function: https://exetel.com.au/hspa/usagemeter.php?username,password Doesn't work for me. What I should have asked for was a way to obtain my HSPA usage whilst I am using my ADSL connection. I mainly use my ADSL2+ connection, but I like to keep my eye on family members t...

Re: exetel staff, please provide usage data/plan XML

Has there been any progress on the XML feed for HSPA data? I have done a search on the forum, to no avail. Although there have been several suggestions on the format, there does not appear to be any that work for all users that are interested in it. I have found that https://www.exetel.com.au/member...

Re: HSPA Loan Service To Existing Customers

What I had to do was to apply for a HSPA service, set it up and then sent it up to my daughter in Brisbane. See liked it that much that she sent me her Telstra wireless modem and kept the Exetel service. Besides that you're going to have a lot ot Telstra modems to sell on ebay  Not really, I g...

Re: HSPA Loan Service To Existing Customers

I have some contacts who would like to consider the HSPA service but there are doubts on coverage and performance. Since HSPA is independent of their current service it would be easy and convincing to be able to demonstrate the service before cutting off existing arrangements. Regards C Bumkin I th...
