Hello,
I believe your problem is your connection is suffering from our suppliers network congestion problem.
There is a upgrade being done tomorrow that could resolve your problem.
So I would suggest that you wait to Sunday to see if there is any differences.
Thank You

Re: BUSH FIRES
Hello vk3xem, I just thought I would let you know that I am very proud of you for providing fire protection for people in Melbourne. At the moment I volunteer with the Warringah / Pittwater Rural Fire Service communications unit in NSW. I've loved every time I go up to the control room once a fortni...

Re: are these noise levels ok?
Hi, Those stats look to be ok for an ADSL 2+ connection. The DSL signal deteriorates the further the line is away from the telephone exchange. There are many factors that determine what speed your modem syncs to the telephone exchange at. Generally a sync speed between 1.5mbits to 24mbits is accepta...

Re: PPPoE server not found
Hello,
I agree with what James D told you.
When looking at our suppliers provisioning system I can see that the ADSL 2+ service has not been fully completed yet.
Would say that it looks to be a provisioning problem as everything is normally set up and ready to go for cutover.
Thank You

Re: ADSL1 to ADSL2 - no speed at all
Hello, I can see that your Internet is currently connected. What i've done to verify is cleared the circuit and watch for the modem to authenticate to the network which was successful. There is a possibility that the problem is the connection between your computer and modem if you are still having d...

Re: Naked back to normal ADSL2
Hello, I believe you will need to cancel your Naked ADSL 2+ service with EXETEL as the telephone service is ceased once Naked ADSL 2+ is connected. Once you have done that the next step would be to contact Telstra to get a new line activated. After it has been activated you would then apply for our ...

Re: g.dmt or adsl2+
Hello,
I would use the ADSL 2+ auto fall back option.
If you use G.DMT you will only be able to sync to the exchange at 8 mbits.
Would leave bit swapping unticked but would tick rate Seamless Rate Adaption.
Seamless Rate Adaption is used to prevent dropouts from occurring.
Thank You

Re: Configuration Issue With 837 Router
I know what the problem was.
You did not have the configuration register as 0x2102.
In order to fix this I believe all you need to type in is config-register 0x2102 in conf t.
Then do a copy run start then the reload command.

Re: AAPT to Exetel rejection
Hello, If a customer is churning all they really have to do is change the DSL codes on the line so it points to the new ISP. Also if there is any speed changes they just need to change the config. So a new connection is more expensive as quite often a tech is required to visit the exchange to connec...

Re: Slow Naked ADSL2 speed after changeover from ADSL1
Hello, Generally there is not much we can do to further improve the connection. What might be good idea is to perform a line test with residential support with devices connected and disconnected to see if there is any fault with your service. You can email residentialsupport@exetel.com.au and refer ...

Hello, Thank you for that information. Could you try a file transfer from our mirror which is mirror.exetel.com.au? Hello,
I've changed your service back to the default configuration since there was no changes to your service.
Are you able to show us what speed your modem is connected to the exchange at?
Thank You
