Thunderbird's gone to the dogs now, and auto config has fleas. You're better off with Opera, or combine the special features of both clients with Claws Mail. To configure Thunderbird manually see http://support.mozillamessaging.com/bg/kb/Configure+an+Account i cant get it to manually configure now ...

i have not solved the problems...... but have goneto eurodora which also picks up incorrect information for settings when it sets itself up.
however it is allowing me to manually correct,,,,,, which thunderbird is not allowing

guess i will have to go with eudora even tho i dont like it that much

i have had to reload thunderbird 5 times this year for broken machines that have been wiped to be mended :evil: the later versions of thunderbird are automatically setting up the mail settings but are picking up incorrect information. before the settings were all put in by hand up to today it was me...

You could port your current number to VoIP and forward it to your new number. It usually takes less than a week to port a PSTN to VoIP. In the meantime you could forward to your mobile. best i can work out is that i can keep my number ok i should be able to disconnect here in the morning and reconn...

Look for AAx plans under "ADSL2 (No Telephone)". These are the current plans which mean "you keep your phone with Telstra" ok just that it dosnt say who they are with......or is AA meaing AAPT??
