Thomas,
Feedback from Optus:
.....'this would have to be a an Optus global decision ....'
In other words the enquiry will be made but if approved it will probably take quite some time.

Re: Time to port a mobile service
Scott, Thankyou for that. To clarify, the actual porting process itself (once it is initiated betweeen carriers) takes only 1 to 2 hours with only very minimal downtime. The downtime depends on the customer awareness because the best indicator is when service is lost with the losing carrier. That is...

Re: It's $15 to sign up for a Z plan....
It's not as simple as that. Commercials, transparent to customers, are involved.Seems a lot of hassle on both Exetel and your end user's behalf, why not just lower your change plan cost to match the SIM replacement fee?

Brian,
Your BB service is provisioned now. There was a problem at the Optus (supplier) end.

Re: Info on Issues with Optus Blackberry email server?
Brian, Your BB service is still pending in our system. I am not sure why this is still the case but will liaise with the provisioning team to sort it out quickly. Once that is done, you should be able to proceed with setting up email etc on the service. In the context of your words in general concer...

Re: Unlimited Data when accessing Social Networking Sites
A) I understand the (MB) Plans, as well as (CAP) Plans and (Z) Plans include unlimited data when accessing the mobile versions of the listed social networking sites. The Per Minute (A, B, C, XO, & YO) plans and the Blackberry (BB) plans do NOT have this inclusion. Have I missed any? The V plans and...

Re: Is exetel going to offer Home zone"
I certainly would be more interested in exetel mobile plans if i had such devices to boost optus 3G signal at home and work. Are exetel bundling this into any plans or providing them to existing customers that have poor optus coverage? Yes we will be but we are waiting on Optus to give the go-ahead...
