Re: CAP35 to Z15 for Mobile phone

Ben, Plan changes can be done via your Exetel members facility. The plan fee charge depends on what plan you are currently on and what you want to move to. Generally an upgrade of plan we won't charge for. A downgrade or move to same base plan with a lower monthly amount we will charge for. You want...

Re: Blackberry details please.

The terms state "Blackberry Data usage is unlimited". Can anyone confirm that this is true? I find it hard to believe as data costs are always metered in all other types of plans. Correct Voicemail - message deposit (call diversion) $0 I take it this is when somebody leaves a voicemail message afte...

Re: APN for Exetel mobile services using the Optus network

Just activated my z39 plan for an iPhone 3gs running 4.3.5 and can't seem to find a way to check whether the correct APN is assigned. After inserting the new SIM I reset the Network Settings on the phone and all appears to be working correctly (calls, SMS/MMS etc), but just want to make sure I am c...

Re: $10.00 (or more) Discount On Wireless Broadband Plans

Any progress on this? Wireless broadband is my only internet access due to poor ADSL signal because 2km is too far from the exchange. It seems a bit unfair that the discounts are only available to ADSL customers. This goes for the Z mobile plans too. We will open the Z mobile plans up to existing m...

Re: new mobile cap?

i would like a mobile cap that is somewhere in between the 35 & the 59. maybe 45 or 49. We have a Z39 plan avaiilable to existing Exetel ADSL customers. For $39 per month, you get: 2,000 minutes of standard calls and SMS', 2,000 minutes of Exetel to Exetel calls and SMS', $100 worth of internationa...

Re: PSTN to VOIP

Does Exetel still offer the service to convert a PSTN number to VOIP and have a new number assigned to the PSTN line? If so, is there a process to apply for this? If you want a new number we would just assign a new VoIP DID. There is no need to port the number to VoIP. The PSTN to VoIP conversion i...

Re: I have VP2 add-on activated (1-5-2011) but no free SMS?

My last Invoice states 1 Web SMS(s) Sent <date> <date> <phone number>and charged me $1 for it. I assume this is the charge for the VP2 add-on? I would've expected it to get charged under a name that better identifies it. Regardless I've removed the package as I by far don't benefit from it lol. We ...

Re: Exetel Mobile Plan Specials for July

by jabez I can't find where these charges are identified. I can see that 'Standard Voicemail' is listed under Capped Plan Inclusions but not costs. Call charges are listed under the Cap Plan Terms button on the website: http://www.exetel.com.au/residential-mobile-cap-plans.php For miscellaneous 'Oth...

Apologies for the late response but the pricing structure was being discussed in some internal meetings last week. It is as is on the webpage: http://www.exetel.com.au/a_plan_pricing_adsl2_new.php The monthly Plan access is $49.50, line rental is $20.00 However, it is showing differently in the memb...

Data Bolt-ons for Per Minute mobile plans

Please be advised that mobile data bolt-on packs will be available from Monday June 6 . These may be 'bolted-on' to any Exetel/Optus per minute mobile plan . They may not be used in conjunction with Exetel/Optus CAP plans, since these plans have their own monthly data allowance. The Exetel/Optus Per...

3) I was prepared to move from my Vodafone plan (good, old, plan 1) to an Exetel Optus $5/mth plan, but not to pay another $20 because Exetel had changed its mind and no longer wanted to supply any Vodafone services and provided almost zero notice (email of the afternoon of 30 April, plus free SIM ...

Re: APN for Exetel mobile services using the Optus network

Do not use 'YesInternet' - that is for iPhones.

HTC's use the APN INTERNET.

If you continue to use 'YesInternet' - you run the risk of having very HIGH data charges.
These will be payable in addition to any data allowance.

Re: APN for Exetel mobile services using the Optus network

It is a configurable network identifier required by a mobile device when connecting to a GSM network. It is require...

Re: New ADSL1 plans vs existing plans

It is called "wide area call" and it covers up to 50km away.
Telstra confirmed that unfortunately this is not possible on a wholesale service.
It will stand as a timed national call for Exetel customers.
