New modem dosent seem to make any difference ahh well at least 3.5 is better than 1.1 its somewhat of an improvement. I was hoping for around 6 but I spose im to far away.

Thanks its working now, only getting 3.3 mbs but im running and old alcatel speed touch home modem and im probably at the end of the line when it comes to distance so I probably cant complain. I will take a new modem home from work tonight and see if that makes a difference.

Has the upgrade been completed ? I have just restarted modem and im still connecting at ADSL1 speeds ?

I feel for you my friend, I am a Computer tech and have the displeasure of dealing with these sort of problems on a daily basis and i personally believe that these situations are a result of "Out sourcing" Technical support and inadequate training. Yeh same here have changed to ADSL2 plan has been upgraded on the site but I guess due to the long weekend we will have to wait for Helstra to go back to work on Tuesday.

Rejected again what a joke !!!

I applied for ADSL2 via Telstra as we have no optus infrastructure where we live only to be rejected yet again. I have ADSL via Telstra at my business which runs via the same exchange as my Home number and if I ring telstra they say I can get adsl2 via themat my home ? So whats the go! Heres the mes...

I too have been here that long but a change of state and address seem to have lost details from the previous address. I left swiftel when john left and spawned exetel. I must say the service over the years has been excellent, I own my own computer shop and still to this day recomend exetel to people...
