Re: Web Upload Help

Have you activated your new webspace through the member facilities? Have you updated your FTP client with the new server name, login name and password? I use Filezilla, excellent program. Can download from here - http://filezilla-project.org/ The image below shows my settings for the new webspace. N...

Can't connect to old server FTP as I don't know password!

And password reset doesn't work!

How can I find out login details for the old server?

Re: Can't browse to my 7404VGP

Mine is exactly the same. After it's been running for a few days, I can no longer login to it via the web interface.
I have to restart the modem for it to work.

Normally not a problem, only when putting in new wireless clients and changing security settings does it get annoying!

Re: SIP Server upgrade

Some of you may have problem with sip1.exetel.com.au, which probably related to dns issue / registration message too big. I suggest try 58.96.1.2 as it connect straight to the server without resolving any dns. Being an agent, we have setup all our customers connections with sip1.exetel.com.au per t...

Odd I know, but it cost me less for a short conversation to someone in Boston than it did to call a number in Thomastown, Vic!

Re: VoIP and Telstra HomeLine Budget

As stated above by semi-official exetel rep Corey, Exetel ADSL1 is *not* LSS. I am on homeling budget and use Exetel ADSL1 (8mbit) with VOIP. I have done for 1.5 years now, including a relocation. When I connected my phoneline at my new house, I selected homeline budget through telstra's website. Wh...

I have the same modem (7401vpgm) and the smae thing happens with mine. Anyone know aything about this? Can't add to what I've listed already - the settings in my screen dump on page 1 of this thread still work a-ok for me. Given the 7401 is a different model, possibly creating a new thread might gi...

Cannot send from Webmail!!!!!!! Not Good!!!

Message not sent. Server replied: Connection refused 111 Can't open SMTP stream. Is the error received when attempting to send from Webmail. This is particularly annoying as my mum, an extel customer, is currently in Canada - relying, on my advice, solely on webmail rather than a mishmash of various...

Re: Email accounts from previous adsl account

The email accounts (and their email) are migrated from one connection to the other, intact. This is what usually happens when people relocate from one location to another. I suspect what will happen is that the entire email account(s) will be lifted and placed into the Member Facilities of the new ...

Re: "Shaped Plan Option

I too would like an update on that. Considering the Exetel speed test page is unshaped, unshaped VoIP shouldn't be too hard. No decision has been made yet. First, a question. Given Exetel's download meter updates twice daily, when does the shaping kick in? Exactly at quota, or at the first metering...

Re: New ADSL1 Plans/Naked ADSL2 Plans

I'm one of the 340.

When Exetel effectively lowered my min Voip spend from $10 to 0, I figured it wasn't that big a jump to the 8mbit 16gb plan.

I've been on that since the start of this month, and to say it is awesome is a callous understatement of epic proportions.

What speed internet do you have?

I find uploads are the killer for me, if I even have uTorrent running, uploading around 8kB/sec, it's enough to cause big problems.

Re: voip setup with NetComm's NB6W and V210P

Well, for anyone who is still reading this novella, i made contact to the ATA device by attaching a PC laptop via a separate ethernet cable to the LAN port on the ATA. From there the device's IP address did indeed take me to the config settings. Well this is good AND bad! You will still need it to ...
