Re: voip setup with NetComm's NB6W and V210P

Make sure the phone cable connected to the router for ADSL is unfiltered.

Re: voip setup with NetComm's NB6W and V210P

Oooh, breaking news. In the DHCP table in the Router's config, i can now see that a VOIP device is recognised, and has been allocated an IP 192.168.1.3. Am i getting warmer? I'd say so, assuming that's not your computer. You can check what IP your comptuer has by going to Start > Run > "cmd" - then...

Re: Netcomm NB6PLUS4W Question.

I use a Billion 7404vgp.

Ringing my DID from my mobile, I get 0 ring delay. First ring I hear in my ear corresponds with my Voip phone ringing.

Re: voip setup with NetComm's NB6W and V210P

ATA is likely to have a PSTN port as fallback. If your Voip provider is down, calls are made via your PSTN line. This is NOT a substitute for your ADSL line direc to your modem-router. It should be filtered. I would advise - 1x PSTN connection to modem - for ADSL. 1x PSTN (filtered) connection to AT...

Re: problems connecting 2nd phone to voip service

hi, I have successfully connected one phone to my nb9w modem, however when I connect a second phone into phone 2 jack, while the phone has a dial tone and you can ring out on it, it doesn't actually ring. Is there some way to rectify this problem? thanks. The phone 2 port is not just a double of ph...

Re: VoIP FXS and pass-through question

http://www.netcomm.com.au/ADSL/NB9W_new.php I think you are getting off track a bit here with these netcomm all-in-one units, as the OP said he had "an external ATA for VoIP" connected to an ADSL gateway with wireless So... did you miss this bit? Along with the churn I'm considering a new modem wit...

Re: VoIP FXS and pass-through question

On the NB9W there are two RJ11 ports one for ADSL and the other for LINE. LINE port is used for PSTN fall back, so no re-wiring is needed. Actually there are four... Phone 1, Phone 2, Line, ADSL. So you hook your actual phone to either Ph 1 or 2, and can call via VOIP or Telstra. http://www.netcomm...

Re: VoIP FXS and pass-through question

Lastly, anyone done anything similar, ie, a single phone for incoming and VoIP, maybe wired back into the existing internal wiring? Having the two separate phones is an inconvenience so I'm looking at this seen as though my current ISP has provided an opportunity to move and review. Many thanks. Ab...

So effectively, it's one free DID, extras introduce a $5 min spend.
Is that $5 min spend PER extra DID?

Calling Services is a calling card type thing, with access numbers you phone.

I'm sure there's a thread about it on the forum.

Not having a shot at you either, but the forum does have a search function.
