Hi,
Telstra had advised '..they need to arrange a POI (point of interface) change to restore your service'.
Can some summarise what this means?
Thanks.
Dave.

Re: Modem Sync Speed halved
Ok by the time you read this both phone and modem have been disconnected.
I'll wait for 1 hour before reconnecting the modem to check for an update on this post.
Thanks

Re: Modem Sync Speed halved
Thank you. Please please escalate back to Telstra that I am below their threshold. I gladly consent to the fee as I have no other option available. (If it will help please raise a new fault?) Also I noticed with today's drop to 1406 sync download the upload sync dropped to 384. Before today it had a...

Re: Modem Sync Speed halved
Hi - please provide any advice whatsoever...anyone... Exetel have advised that for the third time Telstra cannot do anything for my service and it's working to acceptable limits. As of now my sync rate is 1406 (down from a normal 4500 1 month ago, 3200 last week). Given Telstra attended the site on ...

Modem Sync Speed halved
Hi, While I already have an open issue, I want to raise this with the forum for further advice / clarification. The area I live in has been providing a stable 4500-5000 sync speed for the past 15 years. This is for various houses and providers within a radius of 200m. Over the last couple of months ...

Domain hosting and email redirection (again)
Hi, Once more for the dummy... In the next few months I will be transferring the domain name registration and hosting to exetel for our surf club. I have already tested the free webhosting by installing our complete website there. The primary goal is to reduce costs as we are a 100% voluntary club. ...

Re: New connection info
Hi, The other thread was at a different location - I get look after our surf club Internet as well. The club is 80 years old but recently completely renovated with new wiring so I am hoping all is good. I have never experienced the situation with the modem and I am not as familiar with the to-link m...

Re: Phone static and reduced modem DSL speed
Given the number of views on this post I thought I would provide an update of the resolution. Had to wait four weeks for technician due to backlog of NBN issues... Telstra turned up on date/time as provided, listened to the phone cracking away, jumped in his van went back to the local exchange, 5 mi...

New connection info
Hi, Got a new adsl2/telephone bundle plan with exetel and was after some advice for my understanding what the issues might be. While the phone connection has been in place for 80 years, this is the first adsl connection. Exetel have run through all the normal tests and can find no issues. Ps. A faul...

Phone static and reduced modem DSL speed
Hi, Starting this morning I have been experiencing very slow internet. I found the modems normal DSL speed greatly reduced to 876/541 (normal is approx 4700/800). Each time I reboot the modem, a diffent speed is set, but the best its got to is 1600/600. I have also now notice the phone has a large a...

Usage Issue
Hi, Currently I am on the OP3 plan with a 1am to 9am off peak time. Over this month I have seen higher peak usage than I would expect. This morning I setup approx 400mb to be downloaded after 1am. Below is the exetel website usage for today at 8:30am today. Note the off peak usage of 638mb would be ...

Years of Service Discount
Hi,
I have been a member of Exetel sine July 2005. Is there a discount that should be applied after 6 years?
Thanks.

Re: Moving ADSL2 Bundled Service
Thanks. I have rang another Exetel representative and got a different answer. The advice this time was my last move with Exetel has not been closed properly and is stopping me using the 'Move Service' option this time. The last move service was supposedly updated and I was told to try again. Unfortu...
