Re: NB64W resets if you try connect wireless device

Thanks - any suggestion is appreciated. Changing channels didn't help. Turning security off allowed the touch to connect and use the internet without causing the modem to crash. Further testing has proved this issue with the NB6Plus4w (firmware 3.64y) and Apple hardware if you use wireless with WEP ...

Re: NB64W resets if you try connect wireless device

I have played with the security settings and have got wireless working with PC/Mac computers - changing the wep setting to 64 and back to 128 fix XP? So I am only faced with the original issue. For the same Ipod touche, if I attempt to connect to the new modem the modem will reset its self (power li...

Re: NB64W resets if you try connect wireless device

Yes - I was just abbreviating the name - its a NB6Plus4W. The wireless power issue occurs with apple products (ipod touches) and the wireless failing to connect to the internet occurs for both XP and Mac computers. The settings are the same but as the new modem (not working) is 2 weeks old its on a ...

NB64W resets if you try connect wireless device

I just purchased a backup NB64W thru exetel and while ethernet connects fine, if I attempt to connect using a handheld wireless device the modem power light goes red and the modem self resets. I then have to unplug the modem and reset again to gain ethernet access back on the modem. My original mode...

Re: ADSL2 Available for Warilla, NSW Exchange?

Thanks - To apply for ADSL2 you have to have a working phone line first. I just rang Optus to get a phone line and they have said there are no avaiaible lines for them. Does this mean I cannot apply for an Exetel ADLS2/Phone plan or does Exetel have its own ports? Can I just get a Telstra land line ...

ADSL2 Available for Warilla, NSW Exchange?

Can you please confirm if the Warilla exchange has any adsl2 ports available for adsl2/bundles plans thru Exetel? An adsl2 exchange website I found says Optus has no ports left. Is it worth putting a request in just in case? It maybe rare but does Exetel have a waiting list for ports when people dis...

Re: INCPHONEY Switch Non-Peak charge

I raised a billing fault to ensure I was not going to be billed for the 'non-peak' usage due to the plan change.

Exetel have contacted me and are going to move me to the 'Z' plan mid-month to ensure the new limits take effect now and there will be no excess charge.

I am happy with this arrangement.

INCPHONEY Switch Non-Peak charge

I am another Exetel customer which has had my plan changed without notice to the 1gb peak/1gb non-peak plan. For the first two weeks of October I have been using my service as normal and using the desktop usage meter. My non-peak usage is at 4gb - is Exetel going to bill me $9 extra for non-peak whe...

ADSL2 Speed dropped to < 250kbs was between 1.5m - 2.5mbs

For at least the last two days my adsl2 speed has reduced to around what I used to get on adsl 256/56? Exetel's speed test is consistently reporting only 150-300kbs. Through the months I have been on adsl2 is usually get 1.5mb to 2.5mbs and occassionally upto 3mbs. Modem stats are ... Statistics Dow...
