Re: SMS not getting through

Just an update, After further investigation it seems the mobile in question is on the "3" network. I ended up calling Exetel support and they sayd they have had issues with exeSMS and the sendign to the "3" network. In my case I am using the user facilities so they are now investigating it with thei...

SMS not getting through

Hi, I been using Exetel's SMS facilities for several months now to send SMSs to a distribution list of around 300 numbers. Everything seems to be working fine but I have had one report of an SMS not getting through. Upon looking at the report it indeed is not getting through, and has been the case f...

Re: Can you increase the "name" field in SMS

Slight misunderstanding here. I don't mean the name/mobile number that gets sent as who the SMS is coming from. I meant the name field when importing a CSV file. You can have three fields: name, number and group. The name field is only used here to help you (me) identify the number more easily.

Can you increase the "name" field in SMS

I use the web interface in user facilities to send SMSes. I maintain a large distribution list where I use the person's email address in the "Name" field. In recent times I have noticed that some records in the csv file were not able to be imported and I isolated the problem to their email address b...

Re: Are there any issues with the Optus Network ATM?

As hoped it came good this morning. I'm not sure exactly when, but hopefully it will stay that way.

Re: Are there any issues with the Optus Network ATM?

I think we spoke too soon. For me it now authenticates OK but no net connection, can't get to any of the name servers 220.233.0.3 and 220.233.0.4. However, I am now testing in a different location in Canberra, and my symptoms are slightly different, but I bet it is still the same related issue. Anyw...

Are there any issues with the Optus Network ATM?

I'm setting up my friends Exetel HSP service. I've been testing it out for him for a few days now, but now I can no longer connect. Using the Wireless Broadband software that was installed with the E1762, I can see I have very good signal (-85dBm, 5bars), but when I try to connect I get an "Error 61...

Is the mobile meter stuffed ATM?

Hi, I know the mobile meter does not give CDRs in real time and there may be a few days delay but after looking at the current records things just don't look right at all. The meter has calls from 29/6 to 9/7 of which there are only 7 calls when there should be several calls per day. There is a smal...

Re: exeSMS on PC with LARGE group list

Hi, I have been using exeSMS a lot since it started and no problems until today. We created a group list with 41 mobile numbers and it consistently failed. The msg was <160 chars and we were not over the daily limit. Splitting the group into 2 groups of 21 and 20 solved the problem (for now). What ...

SMS from Web - My experiences

I thought I'd just post my experiences using Exetel's SMS from Web service (strictly speaking they call it SMS via DSL ). I actually gave it a go back in 2007 and reported it here http://forum.exetel.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=230&t=23668. Back then it did not meet my requirements but I thought I'd have...

Re: PIN for SMS via Web

If you've entered your PIN once, we don't require the PIN to be entered again within the same session as it has already been verified for functions that require a PIN to be entered. I initially thought it might be session related too, but after I sent the test SMS I then tried to go into the SMS Da...

PIN for SMS via Web

Hi, I'm just getting use to Exetel's implementation of a PIN for sending SMSs via the web where it is not originating from an Exetel IP address. I have a few queries. Can the PIN be changed to something that I can remember? I know the PIN can be SMSed to me every time I need it, but I'd rather not s...
