It will be in your voice invoices. Just got my mid month invoice and no 328 SMS charges. Also I did not get a special invoice just after the new month, and looking at the SMS section in User facilities it says all my SMS have been billed i.e. Total Unbilled SMS: 0 I'm happy for Exetel to write it o...

Re: exeSMS Security flaw?

I note that within exeSMS, I can assign my sender number to be anything. This allows me to make SMS messages appear to come from anyone's mobile. Since SMS receivers trust the sender ID to some extent, this would appear to be a security flaw. Imagine John Howard sending an SMS to a journo, or what ...

Call diversion/forwarding tariff

Hi, I note that the web site publishes tariffs for mobile phone diversions as: $0.50 per minute - Diverted calls to Vodafone. $0.63 per minute - Diverted calls to land lines and other mobile networks. $0.08 flag fall for diverted calls Both Telstra and Optus have their call diversion rates at $0.06 ...

You will be billed on the 1st apparently. It's called SMS from ADSL, as you are most likely using a DSL service to send those messages. I guess the next question is how do I get those invoices? When I had ADSL I used to get a "view ADSL invoices" section in my user facilities which I assume is wher...

Not getting billed for SMSes

Hi I know it might seem strange for a customer to highlight that they are not being charged ... but I'm not being charged. Although I probably will not be using it again unless/until the limitations I encountered are fixed see this forum thread: http://forum.exetel.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=23668 I sti...

Why are Optus even considering this in the first place. It would take alot of revenue away from them. Yes this is the ongoing dilemma that any company with legacy infrastructure must face. Do they protect their existing revenue streams based on legacy infrastructure at the risk of missing the boat ...

This is the thread on whirlpool: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-re ... m?t=790081
The information is quite reliable as many of the comments came straight from Simon Hackett.

Re: naked dsl

At the moment we could do that via Optus but Optus make the cost of not using their telephone line very little different - so in almost all cases it's difficult to price a service that would be attractive. I wonder how Internode can make the business case stack up? They are planning to offer it to ...

My rExperiences

Hi everybody I just sent an SMS to 320 messages and I thought I'd give my feedback. My overall rating with my experience is probably 7 out of 10 as I still ended up having to use my current provider messagenet. Let me explain: Where I had to send the SMS there was no broadband so I had to send the S...

exeSMS

OK, I've just tried exeSMS, and sending via the groups SMS is exactly what I need. It seems in WebSMS where you press the "Send Group SMS" button, it turns it into a bulk SMS message where you have to tick everything in the group. This is very different to the Group SMS function in exeSMS. Unless th...

Hi, Try going to "SMS Address Book" and in the "View Group" table click "Send GROUP SMS" for the group you wish to send too. Just tried that but it then comes up with the bulk sms dialogue box where I enter the "from" name or number and the message. However everybody in the group is also listed wit...

Import the number list you have through .csv and then just bulk send all the names contained within your address/contact book. I just tried that and a couple of issues. 1. It seems the contact name cannot have any more than 30 characters. A bit annoying but it would be nice if it could take more. 2...

Limits on bulk SMS

Hi, I'm think of using this service. I have been using a service provided by Messagenet for several years. My requirements are to send 300-400 SMS messages at once a few times a year. With Exetel's price at $0.05/message that works out to be 5x cheaper so I definitely want to try it out. My only poi...

I think the only thing you can do is to try somebody else's PC, or give your login to somebody who can try it out for you. This will absoutely rule anything to do with the server, so that you can focus on your PC and the difference between yours and the working one.
