Re: Change to AUP - Section (d)

I don't know why everyone is so worried about the average dropping. This is the bandwidth usage for the past 12 months... http://thumbnails25.imagebam.com/5639/3388c056388344.gif It has about doubled, as it has each year since Exetel started, I see no reason to think it won't continue to rise as ev...

Re: Change to AUP - Section (d)

If ppl download 74.5gb etc.. then next month average would be like 20-23gb etc.. cos adding the 74.5 would mean less.. So next month the max limt would be 60-70gb..etc.. then ppl would download say 65gb limit.. If everyone downladed 74.5GB then the average next month would be 74.5GB and the total y...

There is no plan with a higher usage than the one I am on.

Re: Change to AUP - Section (d)

With a limit of around 75GB and daily updates of averages and not getting kicked off for November I am reasonably happy.

But why not say that in the original email?

Re: Change to AUP - Section (d)

When will the daily average become available? Will you be kicking off users based on this month's off peak downloads? No. Thank you for answering half my questions. I guess if you aren't kicking people this month then there is no particular need for the average to be displayed until December 1.

Re: Change to AUP - Section (d)

So, you want users to be able to download more, except you don't?

Re: Change to AUP - Section (d)

So, why not just make the off peak limit 75GB?

Everyone would be happy.

Re: Change to AUP - Section (d)

I'm sorry, but by removing the 60GB hard limit and making it uncharged, how did you expect that to be perceived? Almost everyone would take it as being unlimited. I agree that massive downloaders should be kicked, but I just hope the limit is reasonable. I agree they can kick whoever they want, but...

Re: Change to AUP - Section (d)

If you don't want people to download 60GB in a month, set the limit to 40GB, or 20GB or whatever? If you don't want people to download even more don't make a change where there is *no limit*? You set the boundaries, so you will decide how much people download in the end. Legal ways to use heaps of b...

When will this be available?

Will you kick off users who go 3x the average this month?

Re: Change to AUP - Section (d)

Why not just be honest and fair and make it a set limit again? Even if it's 60GB. Anything else is deceptive.

Re: Problem with permissions of uploaded files

Your answer has nothing to do with my question. Are you sure you responded to the correct question?

Problem with permissions of uploaded files

I have tried two CMS systems on my webspace - Concrete and Website Baker. They both install and work ok except when I upload an image. The image will not be world readable and so will not work. If I ftp in and change the permission to world readable it works fine. But obviously I can't do that all t...
