Persistent ADSL drop outs - Bondi Beach

Since Christmas 2016 we have had persistent loss of ADSL many times a day. I keep unplugging the modem(NB5PLus4 Netcomm) and the service comes back then goes dead again after a while. I now regularly use a phone hot spot to get coverage. I have not touched the modem for years (i.e. no resetting to f...

In the meantime, we will hopefully have access to license keys to stop the flow of spam.
Great news!

Re: Is Exetel's Ironport Spam Filter still effective?

The service is operational, it just isn't working as effectively as it should. We are not able to provide a refund. Today I have received 40+ emails most of which have the common crotch theme. Any Bayesian algorithm should have stopped these dead in their tracks. The Thunderbird spam filter treats ...

Re: Is Exetel's Ironport Spam Filter still effective?

The sooner this is fixed the better. My Thunderbird filters cannot be trained fast enough to accurately kill off what gets through. There is some nasty stuff coming through.

Re: Can't access email- previously via ADSL now from wifi

Cheers

She has internet connection but she can't access email. Email system is Thunderbird and she has an Imac. Is...

Re: webmail entries disappear throughout the day.

<It sounds like another email client is checking them throughout the day, removing them from the server. This could be something like Outlook / Outlook Express >

webmail entries disappear throughout the day.

I am flumoxed by this. My webmail (Squirrell mail) works - when I go into it from work I can see emails I have just sent or have been received from other sources but later on in the day they are not in the in-box but I haven;t deleted them nor is the mailbox size anywhere near full. I have looked at...
