Re: SMS Price Increase

With the increase in SMS price from 5c to 8c this month, and the number of free SMS being kept at 30, I was wondering whether the system which determines when you run out of free SMS credits is based on the number of SMS messages sent or a credit value expiring? The reason I ask is that I have sent...

Re: Revisions To ADSL1 Plans

1) 12 midnight to 12 noon allowance increased to 60 gb 3) 100 free VoIP calls to national/local wire line numbers added to all plans I, like many others, am impressed with Exetel's ability to provide increased value given the current economic climate. 1) I'm on the (no longer offered) TELO plan (36...

Re: "Negativity/"Sh**storm" On 'Whirlpool'

At the beginning of this thread I said that it was designed to achieve three objectives. Each of the objectives has been achieved. 3) To increase sales of ADSL services by gaining more attention to Exetel (sales increased 25% over the 7 day period the thread in question was active in a time frame w...

Re: Problem with D-Link DIR-615 Router

Any clues, anyone - or is this a "send it back to dealer to fix"type job? Sounds like it, but the more you can narrow down, the better: Perhaps try firmware upgrades and using different LAN ports in the modem. Also try disabling any / all of the Denial of Service options on the modem (in particular...

Re: Problem with D-Link DIR-615 Router

I suspect you answered your own question. Try a quality ethernet cable, and check how well the plugs fit the sockets. Keep all cabling away from magnets (eg, a CRT monitor) Thanks, I tried all of that to no avail. I then replaced the new router with the old, and everything pings OK - no packet loss...

Problem with D-Link DIR-615 Router

I have a Billion 7300G modem using 8Mbit ADSL1 which was connected to a D-Link DI-634M 108G MIMO wireless router. This router was plugged into one of the 4 ports of the modem rather than the router port since I do port forwarding from the modem rather then the router (Ottyacat solved that one for me...

It works OK for me sending to my work FAX number, but as has already been noted in this thread the status is still "PENDING" some five minutes after it was received.

As a matter of interest, are overseas Faxes supported yet, and if so what is the number format?
