Re: Getting Unshaped on Optus plan?
Thanks; so (just to be clear) when a customer's existing in-contract plan with an unshaping option finishes or rolls over, they will not have the chance of continuing unshaped as at present? As long as you stay in your current unshaped plan, it will not change to a shaped plan once the contract is ...

Re: Getting Unshaped on Optus plan?
Do old or new customers going onto a new Optus plan still have the option to go unshaped and pay $x per Gb for excess usage? (can't see it in member facilities) Previously you could email Exetel to change over from shaped to unshaped. All the new Optus plans are shaped. You can not make it unshaped.

Re: Moving from Internode to exetel A-100 (AAPT)
Well I spoke to exetel sales, and they didn't seem to know about Agile/Internode being the same company. I don't know why internode list their dslams as Agile instead of Internode, it must confuse people doing transfers. Anyway she suggested I just put in the application listing Agile as the previo...

Re: V9 plan - free usage from social network
Hi There, I would like to confirm what social network services are included in the free usage policy of the V9 Optus plan. I noticed that the new Optus plans include Facebook, Twitter, eBay, MySpace, LinkedIn and foursquare. Does the same apply to V9 plans ? Could you please confirm that once an Op...

Re: Optus Foxtel and ADSL co-exist?
Thanks rukshani and EromalR. Is there some way to determine if we have vacant copper? Perhaps I'll have the in law check out what the phone plugs into. If it's plugged directly into the foxtel box and not into the wall sockets then can I assume she has vacant copper? I know she had a normal telepho...

Re: Optus Foxtel and ADSL co-exist?
Hi All. I would like to apply for a new ADSL2 service for my mother in law. I had tried to do this before, however during that process we discovered that her Optus Foxtel bundle routes her calls over an optic network (HFC?) - and hence we don't have an active copper telephone connection. Now with E...

Re: Considering moving from 3 to Z15.
I've been looking at moving from 3 for a while. First, coverage is spotty at best. Usually struggle to get a signal at home. Phone is starting to die a little too. Turns itself off. Forgets the SIM is there. And it's just old too. Long story short: looking to move to a better network and get a bett...

Re: New Connection - No Infrastructure (?)
I have just moved to a new place and I applied for the OT-100 service on the 9th October. On the 10th I received an email saying that "Your application has now been released from 'pending' to proceed to activation as our supplier has now either activated your exchange or added more ports to your ex...

Re: Optus Out Of Contract Customers
Hi, all! Like many other Exetel users, I recently received the email outlining the projected changes at Exetel, with special regard to those Exetel customers who were out of contract, but using an Optus service. I finally got around to logging into my User Facilities today, and I found the red "Ren...

Re: ADSL Changing Plan (8MB or ADSL2)
Hey everyone Can someone explain what this means? Free upgrade to an ADSL2+ or 8Mbps plan when you bring your Telephone Service to Exetel. Does this mean you have to change your line rental from telstra to exetel? in order to change from 1.5MB to 8MB downstream or ADSL2. If someone could write back...

Re: New adsl2 connection waterford exchange
Hi my brother is moving to Waterford and is serviced via the Waterford exchange in Queensland. According to telstra he can get adsl2 at his house and according to adsl2exchnages optus have hardware at this exchange. However when running a test via the order form on the exetel website it says adsl2 ...
