Re: VOIP lag on outgoing calls

Hi All, I also have the problem with a 2 to 5 second delay with outgoing VOIP calls using the Dynalink 1046vw. It is a real shame because VOIP is absolutely brilliant - saves me heaps of money with a better voice qaulity than PSTN. I have tried upgrading to all the firmware versions mentioned to no...

Re: Exetel's TV Commercial

I know its been shot, but the pan to the aerial shows a huge "spire" on the house and you almost need to freeze-frame to find the aerial. It looks like a hige aerial when really its not. SHould've picked a house without a "spire".

Apart from that, looks good!

Re: New ADSL Plans For July 1st 2009

Does the "low usage" demographic fit with the DIY support demographic (ie no handholding for 2hours to set up a modem)? Are these new plans going to replace the existing high-user plans or will they be offered in addition (like the PAYU are)? Will a free DID be included (with or without 100 free cal...

Re: Mobile VOIP and tethering for laptop

I want to purchase a phone that allows VOIP calls to be made without any hassles (eg, I know someone who has a iphone and using skype for voip but it is my understanding that he has to have the skype app open to receive calls via VOIP, he can recieve calls via his number associated with the data pl...

Re: Questions on modems

The Dynalink outgoing voip issue has not been fixed. Its is less frequent than it used to be, and for some users it has been fixed. But for others (and I know of one) it has not fixed even after following all instructions on firmware updating and factory resetting etc. For that reason I recommend th...

Re: mobile VOIP

Try exetel1 not exetel.
Preferred acc pt. - Save a new access point as Exetel (APN Exetel1 with no username or password).

I think it is (your) hardware dependent.

But I too would like an official answer.

Re: Ownership of modem if not paid upfront

HSPA C2 allows a 24 month contract at $5 per month with no upfront charge for the E169 modem. (but a higher 2.5 c per MB instead of 1.5 c per MB). Does the customer own the modem after 24 months? Also means that after the 24 months you can change to any non-contract plan (eg the C1 - $5 plus 1.5c/M...

Re: Slightly Revised HSPA Plans

Would it be possibly, to offer, a high usage plan, to customers like myself with no other alternative, eg, i'm paying $55 for 8GB, would it be possible for say, a $100 for 15 or 20GB or something similar like that? Whilst I don't speak for Exetel (I'll let them answer), this was raised in the past ...

It is against US law, but Verizon hasn't realised that this is an Australian service and therefore falls under Australian law (where it is legal!).

Re: nokia 3120

I can't see anything on the fring.com forums but you could try asking there. However it "should" work. Regarding optus prepaid, check with Optus that you can insert an optus-reseller postpaid SIM. Be aware that this handset is: # 2G Band: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 # 3G Band: UMTS 850 / 2100 and th...

Re: New ADSL Plans For July 1st 2009

I'd like to see something that would compete with Optus's Fusion $99 plan, which is: Internet: 20GB download Home phone Line rental included Unlimited standard local calls Unlimited standard national calls Unlimited calls to any Australian GSM Mobile Do you really want $150/Gb excess charges ...?
