Re: Linksys SPA8000 - ports rebooting H73720168
Try using ports in the range 5061 - 5070 on your SPA8000 as the Billion 'V models' reserves port 5060 for its useocular wrote: This is probably related to the Billion 7401 VGPR3 ADSL2 modem, done the 5060 port forward to the SPA8000 IP, .....

Re: 2nd VOIP ATA
Hi All I tried the Linksys PAP2 seeing as it had such good reviews. Everything seems to connect ok and the phones on the PAP2 can make calls ok whilst I am making calls on my line - however if someone calls INTO their line then you only get half the sound - ie. the caller can't hear anything, but t...

Re: Slow ADSL2+ D Link DSL 504T v2
Why do that? It will probably cost you more and you will not have the good upload speed for Voip and file transfer.basnarms wrote:......OR I should just change back to ADSL1 8000/384
Investigate different modems that possibly will give you better performance with your line length.

Re: ADSL2 drop outs
Thanks for the tip for increasing MadDog's noise margin Outbush. These Billions default to "auto" - is there a simple way for users to discover the actual gain (0 dB to 7 dB) which was automatically selected? Thats a question for the Billion Forums. This was asked in an old thread (http://au.billio...

Re: ADSL2 - any room for improvement ?
If you get too many dropouts you may have to reduce the 'Gain' to a lower number. Better still, just return to "Auto" Obviously by the number of users looking to obtain better performance from the setting of "Auto" is not satisfactory in these cases. A user configuration to a number value has prove...

Re: Can't make Calls
It's not going to help you chindson, but I think I have the same problem. I can call my mobile number okay but not a landline number. I just get a looong pause after dialling and then the engaged tone. Phone is fully charged, internet working, using Dynalink RTA1046VW Sounds like an exetel problem ...

Have you checked under"view usage"?Tazz wrote:I'm now on the ADSL2 TE-2E plan, the off-peak period is 4am - 10am
But in my members area I see this!?
I'm confused to say the least, is there a glitch in the system?
I think you will find its being recorded as Peak usage.

Re: Can't make Calls
Hi I just switched onto ADSL2+ Telstra. My VoIP is not allowing outbound calls. Just gives and engaged signal. I've tried resetting password and wiping out and reconfiguring modems. I even loaded up the softphone and tried it, and it just comes back the same. Anyone got any ideas? Cheers Craig More...

Re: Drop outs since upgrade to ADSL2 Telstra
yep thats what I would like to do but have no idea how as looking at the index page on the router there doesn't seem to be a area to slow it down or make it connect at a slower rate. Thatx for the help though. You might have to get a different modem that has adjustment. Also have a read here: http:...
