I don't think it will be considered until it's up to ver. 1.0

I'll take a look at the newest version (0.2-stable), and see how likely it is to be able to act as a replacement to squirrelmail, seeing as the dev team apparently consider these stable, production-safe releases. Bear in mind that it needs to

(a) Be simple to use for the majority of our customers, not just the more tech-savvy ones
(b) Fulfil most, if not all of the current functionality that squirremailmail does

before we can really consider moving to it wholesale.

Regards,
Daniel C

That is a nice theme. I may have to appropriate it for my home webmail :)

Squirrel's open source, you can change it yourself. So if you really use pink on green, and are tired of it, why not make it go back to the dark ages and copy Outlook? Here you go - http://themes.freshmeat.net/projects/squirreloutlook/ That in turn has been skinned and themed.

Or even http://www.nutsmail.com/ for more variation still.

I don't mind Squirrelmail actually, (in plain colours); it's functional and reliable.

The IMAP feature would be big advantage for users like myself that access mail from multiple computers. Although mailbox size would be the only constraint but Gmail does look after that.
The views I present are that of my own and NOT of any organisation I may belong to.
