Email Spam filter not working
Re: Email Spam filter not working
It might be advisable to change your passwords immediately and report this to residentialsupport@exetel.com.au.Viss wrote:Just logged into my account to check spam filter and my account shows 2 email addresses in there both are nnnnnnnn@exemail.com.au I cant delete edit or do anything with these 2 accounts. I have reported it to support. Which passwords do you suggest I change my email or main modem passwords or both ?

If you are seeing email accounts on the 'view email accounts' page that you have not added, it may be advisable to change your user facilities password, just as a precaution (this also changes your modem password in some cases).Viss wrote:I have reported it to support. Hi Viss
I just worked out what your issue is.
You are looking at this page
https://www.exetel.com.au/members/email ... ink=link02
in your User Facilities.
This is a "dummy" explanatory page regarding how the spam filter operates - it isn't anything sinister
As the page (towards the middle) says

As the page (towards the middle) says
you go to the "View Email Account" menu option to set up, or modify, spam filtering on any of your email accounts.Exetel charges $2.00 per month per email account and to activate this service for any email account you set up with Exetel all you need to do is to click on one button (Add) in the “view email account”.

You're brilliant Gidge.
The views I present here are not necessarily those from my brain.
