Resetting email password

Post by tega » Fri Jan 30, 2009 3:33 pm

I have recently re-formatted my computer, and i now have to enter all the details into outlook express again. But, the only one i cant remember is the password it uses to access the pop3 exemail. Can this password be reset at all?

Thanks,
Travis

It can, within the Exetel Members Facilities:
Email Setup > View Email Accounts > "Reset".

Ok, can you PM the email account name to me, as well as the phone number it should be associated with.

Evening Jason

I've just bought a new PC and everything is fine apart from the email.

As with 'tega" I cannot see my email accounts on the members page. Possibly I the password may need restting on the Exetel page, not sure.

When I activate Outlook Express and add an account it works fine. When I hit send/receive it asks for the password which is different to the one I've used in setting up the Express account. It does't seem to matter whether I set a password or not it keeps asaking for a password.

I have been using Exetel for some time so all the accounts are there but at the moment I can only access my email using webmail.

Please assist if possible.

Thanks

Ted

It is best you send your request and details (new and old SN, email addresses you care about, etc) to residentialsupport@exetel.com.au.
