Email error meesage, various mail services

Postby sjkemp on Mon Nov 09, 2015 10:46 pm

Hi,

For my exemail I use for business:
- I initially used Mac Mail and had an error message after about a month and it stopped working.
- I then used Exetel service but the storage limit was far too small to be practical. Then I received an error message after deleting messages anyway.
- I then tried Thunderbird which seems to be the best, but the error message has come back!

This is extremely frustrating after working well and I need to send business emails. The webmail works, but the formatting etc is terrible, not good enough and impractical. Surely the problem can't be attributed to three email services.

Can you please help (and explain things simply).

Thanks so much.

Hi,
Welcome to the Exetel Forums. Can you please specify the error message you get, when using the email applications only? You may paste a screen capture of the error or detail the error message for further assistance. Working fine with Webmail confirms no issues with the email account it self. If possible specify the exact time you receive this error as in sending mails / receiving mails .... etc

It's here. I hid my email address for obvious reasons.
Many thanks.

smtp.nsw.exemail.com.au is not a server that supports authentication so it should not be required.

Any form of encryption such as SSL or TLS should be removed.

Do not enter your username and password.

Ensure the port is set to 25.

Are those the settings?
