Hotmail Block List
Had this a couple of yrs ago, happening again...
Is there another SMTP setting we can use?
A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:
myfriendsemail@hotmail.com
SMTP error from remote mail server after MAIL FROM:<myemail@exemail.com.au> SIZE=12531:
host mx4.hotmail.com [104.44.194.234]: 550 SC-001 (SNT004-MC8F6) Unfortunately, messages from 220.233.0.71 weren't sent. Please contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on our block list. You can also refer your provider to http://mail.live.com/mail/troubleshooting.aspx#errors.

Unfortunately it looks like this problem has reappeared as I had the problem at the previous times and it just reoccurred.
Re: Hotmail Block List
Could you please forward the returned email to residentialsupport@exetel.com.au?GaryG wrote:Unfortunately it looks like this problem has reappeared as I had the problem at the previous times and it just reoccurred.

Sure I'll resend them.

Dear Support
I am not sure whether I can continue with this post or have to begin a new one, but we have just started having the same problem here when we forward selected emails to our hotmail.com.au backup account.
A copy of the bounce-back email is as follows:
--------------------------------------------------------
This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.
A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:
Xxxx_x@hotmail.com.au
SMTP error from remote mail server after MAIL FROM:<xxxxx.xxxxx@exemail.com.au> SIZE=3207:
host mx2.hotmail.com [65.55.37.120]: 550 SC-001 (COL004-MC4F22) Unfortunately, messages from 220.233.0.8 weren't sent. Re: Hotmail Block List
Looks fairly similar to the ones I received - the same source IP address though different hotmail server address and IP.
I did get an email today that they were investigating and for the moment emails are getting through but its been back and gone before so hoping for a more permanent solution to come.
