Optus smtp suddenly not working

I can’t send emails.
I have an Exetel SIM which I assume is still driven by Optus?
I have always used the Optus smtp setting:
mail.optusnet.com.au
Used this for years no problems.
Suddenly not working.
I’ve tried adding:
smtp.optusnet.com.au
Still no luck.
Receiving mail & internet both good.

On sending email the attached error message springs up immediately so it’s not even attempting to send.

Hi

We checked with Optus and they don't have any issue with their SMTP servers currently. Also, our hosting team has confirmed there are no issues or complaints from Exetel end as well. Can you doublecheck on the outgoing server setting on your phone and make sure it has Optus SMTP server address correctly.

Here’s a screen shot of the smtp settings.
No idea why there are so many mail.optusnet.au listed. I certainly didn’t add them!

I can see that your phone is connected to WiFi. Have you tried without connecting the phone to the WiFi? Sometimes, if the phone is using different internet service, the outgoing emails will not work until you change the SMTP server according to the internet service provider.

If your service issue persists, please PM me your customer ID or the service number to discuss this further.

Oh - yeah I normally have WiFi off when sending emails away from home. It was on inadvertently on for the screen grab.
