Use of PSTN equipment on ZTE modem

Post by John Baird » Tue Jun 11, 2019 10:16 am

Hi, Can I use my existing PSTN phone and answering machine on the/with the ZTE ZXHN H268A modem as supplied with the now lowest NBN plan.
By the way has Exetel explained why they have dropped the previous lower cost Basic plan? Is it "price gouging" or are they passing on fees from their service supplier? As they are aware many loyal long term clients are about to suffer a $30 per month increase in fees for their "basic" service.

You can plug PSTN equipment into the voice port on the ZTE modem.

We put the same mark up on our services, if the price increased it's because of supplier increases.

There are plenty of media articles about NBN wanting to increase their average revenue per customer.
