Is SMS down at the moment?

Post by stebbo » Thu Jan 21, 2010 8:30 pm

Been working fine for ages - use it maybe 3 times a day.

eXeSMS just now is giving "You don't have permission to access /exever.php" when I run it.

Going to the SMS web gateway on Exetel's site, under Send/Manage/View SMS, I found a message saying I have to confirm my mobile. Did that, it appears as a confimed sender, yet the message indicating changes to the SMS system persists, and I have no button to send a new SMS.

Temporary glitch or should I keep searching for the problem. No firewall problem with eXeSMS btw.

Ok, found how to send the SMS from Exetel's web page - a popup window now opens which ended up being hidden behind all other windows. I didn't expect that had changed from the last time I used the web interface a few months ago.

exeSMS still crashing upon running.

Here is the error on running SMS from desktop shortcut

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC “-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN”

<title> 403 Forbidden</title>
</head > <body>
<h1> Forbidden< /h1>
<p> You don’t have permission to access / exever.php on this server. </p>
<hr>

</body> </html>
‘ is not a valid floation point value

Could a windows update or antivirus update cause this?

The error is related to the program checking for an update to the MontaroTech server, and not finding the particular file, in this case /exever.php, which contains the information for the program to run.

As it seems, the error has only just occured, or is beginning to be noticed by people, which turns the question that the file has recently been deleted from their server, disabling the use of the eXeSMS program.

If that file was still available, the use of the program would be fine. The error is not caused by any customer's computer, it is simply the program checking for an update. It leaves the issue in the developer(s) hands.

I've got 3 PCs throwing up the error above - 2 XP and 1 Vista.
IU've tried a re install but no difference.
Is exetel acknowledging this?
