Unwanted page header

Post by Dazzled » Wed Jul 28, 2010 4:27 pm

Affinity, in the Telstra exchanges thread, lamented the intrusive Bigpond header on the Melbourne football site which spoiled the experience for him. Affinity, try a user style sheet at the top of the CSS tree, containing the line:
#bps-wrapper {display: none !important;}
In Opera you set an individual over-riding user sheet for each site from a right click menu. Firefox is much less flexible, but the job is still quick. The rest of the annoying "features", like that huge and horrible Bigpond footer (#bps-footer), can be zapped similarly, if you can identify them unambiguously in the page source. There is some help at http://www.squarefree.com/userstyles/us ... heets.html and http://www.floppymoose.com/ for example.

Unfortunately only display is stopped. The stuff is still loaded.
