Hi everyone,
I am just trying to clarify the email that was just sent out regarding the Brisbane floods and the QLD PoP.
If for some reason as listed in the email, if the PoP does go down, will that impact the whole of QLD? I am up in north QLD (Townsville).
Cheers.

If the POP does lose power / falls victim to some other catastrophic event, there is no termination of your connection and so you would be without service.

We've just lost our connectivity here in Eastern Brisbane, as I can see NetworkAdmin has reported in the relevant forum.

I'm working off my Optus CAP with a tethered iPhone, so not everything is lost yet.

I thank Exetel for their continued updates in regards to the situation in Queensland at this time, most appreciated.

Just wondering if this might push back some of the qld naked conversion to full PSTN to 1st March? I can fully understand if it does.

Thanks Exetel staff!

I live a little way south of Brisbane and am just amazed at how minor this week's outages have been. I was able to remain productive from my semi-isolated home on Wednesday and still access servers in Fortitude Valley, if you can believe it. So, thumbs up and a big thank-you :D
