Sky Muster Vs ExeGo

Post by Baldrick » Mon Dec 11, 2017 9:57 pm

Wasnt sure where to put this, so couple of questions.
I just checked my mums property for wireless NBN & find we are now able to get the "Sky Muster" satellite service.
1. Does Exetel do any of these satellite services?
Checking prices & speeds with nbn maxing out at 25/5Mbs, it seems to me that I would be better off just upping my existing ExeGo service with a little more data & some updated hardware to get decent speed which is MUCH quicker than this satellite stuff from tests I did using my 4g phone. (Currently using an old 3g Huawei modem from exetel through a netcomm router, so thinking I might up it to a 4g usb dongle & get a new router to match)
2. I believe the Exego service charge both upload & download in data usage, would it be the same with this Sky Muster satellite nbn stuff do you know?
3. would this dongle from Officeworks be able to be used with ExeGo services, or do I need to get a properly unlocked unit?
https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/off ... #!features

Thank you.

Thank you.
1. Not at this time.
2. why not get our new home wireless broadband product, it has 200 gigabytes; https://www.exetel.com.au/wireless/home latency is also much better than a satellite service.
3. that would work, as we both use the Optus network.
