Just changed to OTA, Excess peak usage setting

Post by greesha » Tue Jun 01, 2010 8:58 am

I have just rolled over to the OTA plan and I desperately do not want to be shaped. Is it possible to turn on the 50c/GB excess this month.

When I go to change the setting it says
07xxxxxxx 2010-06-01 07:51:16 PENDING Shaped to 512kbps

and it won't let me set it to 50c/GB. Can anybody at exetel activate the excess usage charge for me this month, it would be massively appreciated.

The "PENDING" would indicate that you've made the request, and it will take effect from the start of the next calendar month, as it states on teh change request page.

How can I make a request to be shaped when the Default is shaped? Are you saying I have already made a request for 50c/gb

Mine does not even show the "Pending" it just shows that I can only make one change per month, it has been like that for two months.

Something is broken in that system.

Same issue here
I had the request in last month to change - and it's now changed (in my case to Z/20INCTEL which retains the longer off peak period) and I've gone in to request the change to 50c/gb for excess downloads but it seems that won't kick in until July now
It would be great if the change could be implemented for this month
It's also a bit confusing as after the request is made the status shows under Access Charge After Included Peak Download - "Shaped to 512kbps" - I guess it's just showing what the current status is as opposed to what the current change request is

I have sent an email begging them to let me give them 50c/GB this month and to not shape me. Will see what happens because the wife won't be happy if she gets shaped and her facebook is slow :D

Would it make more sense to have an option on the Change Plan and Order Plan pages, to select the $0.50 per GB excess option to start at the same time as the new plan, rather than having to wait for another month?

i would of been up for that. Fingers crossed they can hook me up with 50c/GB this month. My marital bliss is on the line here.
