A contract question

Post by snibs » Tue May 31, 2011 7:25 am

As users pay in advance, if my contract runs out on the first of August I assume I have paid for the month from 28th of June to 28th July, if I wanted to churn on the 2nd of August, am I going to have to pay for August or will exetel give me the 3 days grace if I churn say at the beginning of July? Thanks.

There is no grace period, if your service remains active at the beginning of July you will be charged for July, however a prorate refund can be arranged from the time of disconnection for rest of July.
Once the service is cancelled you need to email billing@exetel.com.au for the prorate refund.

Thanks for the reply, if I was to churn on the second of august (day after contract runs out) how much would I expect to be refunded?

Pro rata (Latin phrase, "as calculated"), so, assuming you are cut off on the 2nd, (31 - 3 + 1) / 31 th of your monthly fee.

(Reor, reri, ratus - one of those nasty verbs we had to learn),
