When your friend fills out the applicaiton form, there is a referral field for putting in your service number.

Make sure your friend puts in your service number in this field.

Ok so I got him to sign up and he has been using his link for a few days now. Is there anywhere I can find his credit in my account? I mean how will I know I have been credited? Thankyou! :D

There will be a list of referrals on the User Facilities by the end of November.

Thanks but I have already referred a friend. He put our service number in as you said but it is not showing up on that link. :(
What should I do now? Ring or lodge a ticket thing? Sorry not sure what they are called.

Edit to say, sorry it wasn't you but that other admin person. :)

Did your friend churn? I recently recommended a friend who churned to Exetel and I also missed out on the credit.

According to the signup page:

"A $30.00 credit each time you recommend someone who signs up with Exetel for an ADSL1 service (the strict condition of this scheme is that the DSL1 applicant at time of submitting their application must input the recommender 10 digit service number. Under no circumstances will Exetel consider adding in a recommender number subsequently, this strict condition is set to discourage abuse and attempted abuse that existed in previous schemes)"

no mention of it not applying to churns.

But on the "new" page it says it doesn't apply to churns.

I hope not, that is very deceptive if so. :?

He did churn but the email I got just said:

Referral Bonus(ADSL1 Only) If you refer a relative, friend or colleague you will receive a credit of $30.00 per referral to your Exetel account

So if there are more conditions it should specify, no?

This is all I can find??? :? Do you know where the "new" page is that you're talking about??

Also it is on their churn page too:

Ok i just found the page you are talking about. Well that is a bit rude. They need to change their terms at the front then because this page was only created the other day. :x
