They are used to allocate those users who exceed the 48GB (as of 1st Nov) off-peak "limit", to various bandwidth pools. Depending on how much you exceed the limit will define what pool you may be placed in.

So... when do we get out of the pool?

Its November 1st, 12:30am

I was in the orange pool in October (>48GB off peak)

But i downloaded less than 40gb in the off peak in September

My member tools page says I am still in the orange pool and speeds are terrible. Shouldn't I be out of the orange pool now?

It's not automatic, and will occur sometime today.

Is the blacklisting as described in this thread http://forum.exetel.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=23320 still in effect under the new off-peak system that includes charges if you go over 72GB.

Charging for over 72 gb in the 12 midnight to 12 noon period will be implemented from December 1st 2007.

Instead of people like me having to read 6 pages of some useful information could we get one of the SiteAdmins to write a single post in the main forum area called something like "Download Usage" and have all the rules in there: And if anything is to be changed or thought about then have it so only Admins can post in it!!!

So my idea would be:

New Rules as of 1/11/07

eg... 48G from AEST 0000 to 1200

Rules about Pooling eg... Yellow Red Black
Who does this pooling apply to at the moment?
How the pooling works?

Costs of going over the Exetel max Fair Play off-peak download (I think 64G), or if not costs then consequences of these users.

And any other Rules that I have yet to come across.

Thanks

.....or....just a thought....you could read the contract you agreed and the associated acceptable usage policy?
